I'm shopping for a new car. I am looking at the 20-23 thousand range.
So here the ones I have come with.
Acura rsx
Volskwagen GTI.
Out of this two, which one do you think is the best choice?

RSX because insurance will be less and it won't break so often.

Now I realize what the worse (repeated) post ever is with regards to this car forum. It's like a cancer. What car should I buy?
Have you driven either? What do you like/dislike about the two cars? I've got it!
Maybe someone (Ebaums user) will come by the house for you later... they'll cook you a nice meal... spoon feed it to you... burp you... wipe your face... jerk you off... bath you... clean your butt... then tuck you into bed while rubbing your little head.
Well... I guess alteast you narrowed it down to two cars to choose from.
BTW... I'd get the RSX. Then again I'm partial. I think the GTI is a bit of a better performer this year. But I'd still rather have the Honda reliability. GL on the decision.
Get the type S... the base model is suckish. You will not pay more that 23K (at max) for a brand new Acura RSX Type S.

for that money 97 m3 or if you perfer newer, a 3series stick. you can also get used s4 for around there, twin turbo v6. or you can buy a nice caddy, a cts.
i was short money on all those cars and just went with the type s for 17,250. its nice car but for the money, buy something better.

Type S,
I'm not too big on the 06 models! I prefer the 03s, I think the body styling is slightly better.

buy a mustang, then buy a terminator engine,
mustang = 12k
terminator engine = 800
add both together = 12,800 Dollars
the amount of power and constant reminders about your 800 dollar terminator Engine = Priceless

Here's what I say, go to the damn dealership, try the cars and see which one you like the most. It's not always about which one looks cooler or which one is faster, the most important thing is whether you're comfortable with it...you know, since you're spending 20k+ on this car, you should personally like it yourself instead of what some people online say.

RSX-S = K20a2, correct?
If that's so, then by all means, the RSX.

RSX-S = K20a2 = 200bhp = 100hp/liter
I never did understand algebra....
now you do... answer is 100hp/liter

Yeah I brought it up to explain efficiency and then it all goes tits up.
It's a perfectly legitimate formula if you understand it. But it in NO way says which engine is ultimately more powerful, or which car is faster. It's not what it measures what-so-ever.

Just making reference to the decent engineering job that Honda has done with that car/engine.
Don't forget that if you do have a performance car... never exceed the speed limit. If you do exceed the speed limit then you are endangering the lives of others and yourself. Pretty much you are a complete idiot if you ever speed... especially if you do it in a turn. Also... never use the term "WOT".

If you don't need the extra space, you can probably grab a (used) Mazdaspeed Miata for that kind of money. Fun as shit little cars, and nearly indestructible drivetrains. Plus women fall all over you when you own one.

Decent... especially considering the torque that motor still makes.
You need to cram air down its throat and have some real fun!

I've been driving a RSX Type S all week... I'd take it over the VDUB.
Nice car.... MAKE SURE to get the Type S.

I say go for the GTI. Only the new generation though, meaning 2006+ GTI. You want a fun car, with a sleek look, and a non boy racer reputation then forget the RSX for now and reevaluate the GTI and see how it sits with you.

out of those two id say the gti for sure. but with that much money that would be kinda stupid to do. get an 00-02 audi s4, with that money you could buy one and put 3 or 4k into it and beat anything, while still being comfortable.
