I really don't think I will watch it. We all lived through this, I just don't want to be reminded.

now we all know how offensive any movie based on factual events are, even if they are super cool and well written/directed! I guess we all see the hollywood machine for what it is here, absolute shite! It is more fun to shed a tear over something we are detached from so they can sugar coat it but this is one of the few tragedies we aren't numbed to. Accept it and think more about films like Titanic, Pearl Harbour, U571 and Braveheart(dont get me started, you damn propogating Aussie bitch!) It is all horrifically subjective and offensively misinforming.

I don't really think it is a big deal that they are making movies about 9/11.

God damnit. Even the preview was hard as hell to watch.
WHAT THE FUCK are they thinking? How the HELL do you dramatize 9/11?!?!?
If they said all the proceedes, or at least a large portion would go to the families, well, ok then. But shit, Cage and the rest of the pansies are just going to get rich and awards for this utter shit.

Maybe in 30 years something like this could be done. NOT YET.

This movie just doesnt look good. It looks so corny.

"Whos coming with me?"
SILENCE
"Ill go!"
"Me too!"

So dumb.

I had no problem with United 93, cause from everything I saw it looked like it was dealt with in a respectable, realistic manner. And they were giving respect to people who many people dont give respect to. Not everyone knew or acknowledged the people on Flight 93 as being brave, so that movie was deserving. EVERYONE says and knows how brave the fire fighters were on 9/11, so a movie showing that is pointless. It COULD be a good movie, but from what Ive seen, it really doesnt look that way.

I totally agree with you man, United 93 was a waste of my money (not trying to disrespect any of the victims so don't get all feisty with me) because it was just like the documentary that they showed on TV. Exactly the same well, almost. I don't know, in the end when the plane crashes and the screen goes black, some people even started laughing because they all heard someone in the audience go "ouch" or something like that LOL.

But man, I was going to post this! Too bad that guy beat me to the punch. And damn it, I can't believe that Nicolas Cage is in this, he ruins every movie LOL. The trailer for this movie does look a little bit better than United 93, but who knows?

Ha, ha whoa! Touche man, touche. Hostel did suck just for the fact that they made it seem like it was going to be this GORY movie, but alas they failed us with not much gore.

A cinematic horror masterpiece yes, you dont have to agree with me, you can watch Saw II all you want and take your AIM typing with you for all I care.

You can also continue to buy into the media medocore "masterpiece" United 93. Everyone on this board could make the exact same film, only they could make it more realistic and actually show normal human behavior.

Hey man, don't get offended by what I'm about to say because obviously you can choose to like whatever you want, but that movie sucked arse. The horror was weak, and it could've been more gorey. Basically, the fact that they made a big deal out of it was the thing that killed it as well. Even my wife thought it was a crappy movie that dind't live up to its expecation. But to each their own.

Let me sum this movie up very quickly:

Maggie Gylenhall = hot
Oliver Stone = pretentious
Nicholas Case = Douche bag
Nicholas Cage trying to pull off a brooklyn accent = Me putting a gun in my mouth and pulling the trigger

What the hell? Couldn't they wait like 20 years or so. I think this is way too soon to be making a movie about this. It's only 5 years later. I remember watching the actual thing on TV during school. Goddamn Oliver Stone. This is a movie I don't plan on seeing anytime soon.

That's not the first time they've done that. A couple years after World War II movies were being made of it. Same thing with Pearl Harbor.

Yeah. The Deer Hunter came out just a few years after Vietnam ended, and a while back there was a thread on that movie, and no one mentioned it. All Quiet on the Western Front, one of the greatest war movies ever made, came out just 10 years after WWI, and All Quiet had a MUCH harsher message then this 9/11 movie will.

I hate saying "its too soon", cause that basically means in another 15 or 20 years we will all be over it. Like the deaths wont be as bad. Rarely does someone consider a shit WWII or Vietname movie a disgrace to the people that died, they just say it was a bad movie and move on. Why should WTC be any more disgraceful then all the war movies? Be upset that it is a shit movie (if it does turn out to be), dont be upset that its being made, cause you all knew it was going to happen, and your kidding yourself if you thought 9/11 would be left alone.

On the contrary, seeing United 93 put the whole thing in a new light for me. Now I remember back to how I felt when it actually happened, and am somewhat shocked about how little it really affected me. But I was only 15 at the time.

Saw the trailer for it just before i watched the Da Vinci Code in the cinema. The majority of the audience were like "oh my god, thats so wrong, how could they make a film like that."
Was weird cos I've been to hundreds of movies n I've never heard a reaction like that before from a trailer.

Although I don't have a problem with watching a movie about 9/11 ... this looked like a sappy piece of shit movie. I'm going to wait and see what the people over at IMDB say.

I already saw this movie on t.v. over 4 and a half years ago, I don't know why I should pay to see it now.

Honestly, I would rather watch the news coverage from that day to get a sense of what it felt like on 9/11/01, not watch Nicholas Cage strike a heroic pose.

why is everyone so upset here?

You weren't so upset during WWII movies. And that was even worse.

Amen. World War 2 was a much more dramactic and costly event. Yet, many of their movies no one seems to care about them being made. This was going to happen eventually. Dont judge it before you see it.

More people died on December 7, 1941 than September 11, 2001, and I dont think people were complaining about the making of "Pearl Harbor", which I still haven't seen, but I will (if for no other reason than it turned Kate Beckinsale from nobody into an "A list"). But that's probably because said incident was 60 years old.

That's weird that you mention Hostel because Jay Hernandez (In Hostel his name is Paxton) is in this movie.
