hmm a MMO GTA, that could be interesting, if somthing like that happend though, there would need to be more for people to do then be criminals, so many other roles would work well, like for example vigilante's, business tycoons, shiping & couriers, whores, cops, drug manufactureres/dealers ect ect...
Imagine a group of couriers transporting some leagal goods in transport trucks with armed escort in an effort to make some profit as a group, only to be attacked by a criminal oganization, the criminals get away with the loot. or maybe the convoy to well protected and the criminals get owned.
Or maybe you and your buddies want to grow some weed out in the country, smuggle it into the city.
Or maybe you want to be a pimp and have a big sex empire running.
So many possibilities if done right, could be a great game.

Basically a combination of Diablo II, Oblivion, and The Sims.
An rpg like Diablo where you have the option for both single player and online play.
The open-endedness, freedom, and character creation of Oblivion
The exact same kind of item generation system used in Diablo II.
A super-deep appearance modifier for your character. Like Oblivion, but extending to body shape, height, age, clothes, etc.
I'd need the ability to hire mercenaries and summon minions. Like the druid in Diablo. Wolves and Bears're a good start. Oh, and penguins.
A build tool like in The Sims, with the ability to build and decorate my own castle and then explore it. Should include options for secret passageways, multiple floors, and built-in weapons like catapults.
And possibly most importantly, I want to ride a bear. And I should retain the ability to attack while riding. No more of this pussyfooting around on horses. I want to fucking throw on all my armor, grab an axe, and ride into battle atop a huge-ass grizzly bear.

Damn you Bidwell! How am I going to contribute to this thread if you already stole every single thing I was going to say? Oh, and I think a GTA MMO would be awesome.

add forza paint and tuning w/ midnight club 3's customization w/ gta3's free roam and midnight club 2's multiplayer. so after a race you could get outa your car and shoot the other asshole dead
and make oblivion multiplayer (seriously bethesda would become the next microsoft if they did that)

Spore looks pretty fucking good.
Perfect game would be one so huge and gigantic that you could do virtually anything. One based exactly and accurately on real life would be good, i think but it would be impossible to make and hell, jsut go outside.

Except on the Xbox.

I've had no problems with it at all, perfectly fine. But they could make it for both PS3 and Xbox360.

a virtual reality type of thing. a game like F.E.A.R or Condemned, but your movements move the character and you can see 360 degrees etc and it would be scary as shit.

Basically any game that plays out like a movie, has kickass voice acting, takes place in modern times, has a huge world to explore, and doesn't force you to do missions all the time. Also chainsaws.
San Andreas much?

mine would be an RPG:
awesome writing, good story and interesting world, think Planescape Torment.
Romance interactions with female NPCs and playability like BG2: SOA only better with tons of females and interesting variables.
open endedness of daggerfall/morrowind-horses, houses, stealing, vampirisim, guild master, tons of side quests, etc. not so open ended that you lose track of the awesome story tho.
thousands of ways to customize my characters appearance.
thousands of different variants of armour/clothing, like different plate armour designs etc to make a truely badass looking character.
item materail system like daggerfall.
diablo 2 magic item generation.
thousands of skills and abilities to chose from and level up.
like 50 unique races.
like 100 unique character classes ranging from like nightblade, a hybrid thief wizard to samurie to cavalier, to barbarian, to kensei, to archer, on and on it goes, think final fantasy tactics but more.
lets throw in FF7 materia system just for fun so you can socket up shit with gems and then level up the gems for more abilities.
tons of violence.
decent graphics, i'm too picky here cause gameplay is what counts.
lots of challenge, reloading is okay by me. like fighting firkraag in BG2, this is what i'm talking about, even harder would be okay.

I don't know, but having a Top Spin like game online with the Wii technology would be pretty sweet.

I'm kinda just pulling this out of my ass as I go along so try to stay with me. I think it would be really cool to have a game where you are an average American citizen with a crappy job in a cubicle and crappy house and an annoying dog and a wife that won't shut the hell up. Finally one day you snap and decide to take over the world. It would be a free roaming environment like GTA and you have to eventually take over the world somehow. There would be thousands of different ways the story could go. Maybe you would subtly begin to blackmail huge companies and begin your rule using increasingly militaristic corporations, or mabye you would try to attain a position of power in a middle eastern terrorist organisation. Or you could take a small island in the south Pacific and declare it your own country. From there you would begin to take over increasingly larger countries, using the resources from each to fuel your war machine. The initial even in the game would have to be something that gives you an edge. Maybe discovering some sort of top secret documents about a huge corporation's research into chemical weapons. You would have to evade the corporation and use the documents to start any of the above mentioned methods of conquest. Give the documents back in return for a position of power, sell the documents to the iraqi's in return for a terrorist bombing whenever you want one, or sell the documents on the black market and buy used fighter jets and tanks from the former Soviet Union. I think if the game was done right, it could be something that alot of people could relate to and have fun with. And it would be a new, innovative game that we so rarely see. It wouldn't be a shooter or an mmo or an EA sports game and I think that could make it really popular.

Diablo 2: LOD and Star Craft : BW are perfect games to me. Remaking those without too much change, would be my perfect games of this century.

The perfect game is one that gets you playing more than 10 hours straight without blinking an eye like so ----------> ;)
take warcraft 2 for example... I couldn't put it down i loved it. Id farm right up until ALL the resources were gone just to build the biggest, strongest possible army.
