Started reading it now, seems good. That guy made some pretty good predictions; I like the way he thinks. Lets see if the Wii has no loading time like the Gamecube.

I like this article even better: http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/wargames.html
Its about how war games are never very realistic.

Ya I know. And I know a game like that would probably never be made, but I love the idea of something that is so brutally realistic you get to experience what it is really like to be in that position, not just the glamorous fun part.

that article was good. he made a lot of valid points about where the current trend of games are heading.(well at least in America) that's because all of the innovative unconventional games are in Japan.
seems like all we get here are movie to game types, sports, racing, 1st and 3rd person involving guns, repetitive slash em up games, oh yeah... and more racing. damn that's limited. i hope the video game industry realizes how crappy video games are starting to become.

Not for the Ninty bashing, but for the general advice on fanboyism. I don't buy consoles in the 1st year or so of release either. I don't worship one company too. I just wish he'd used examples from other console fanboy groups.

i've always thought that the bigger fanboyism came from either the XBox side or the Sony side. they usually don't passionately debate against Nintendo because they don't really see Nintendo as being a big threat.
i remember back in middle school when we had a huge Sega Vs Nintendo fanboy debate going. we didn't know technical shit about our consoles specs and what they mean, yet we argued anyway as though we did. ahh the 90's...
