i like it when games figure out the difficulty level for you... it make it interesting rather than just selecting "easy"

This may sound retarted but I need help in changing the difficulty. Where do I go to make the game easy and not normal? This is too hard to start on normal. The first level is no problem but it gets hard after that.
are you serious, this game is pretty easy on normal.
lol, good thing you got ninja gaiden black, the original had no difficulty settings.
seconds boss is easy, remeber to CHARGE UP YOUR ATTACK AND HIT HIM!

I just had to figure out the controls. I just started over and I got to where I was in file 1 in 1/4 the time (stage six in 1.5 hours). That staff which I didn't touch at first was the shit. The hardest thing in this game for me is finding out where I have to go in some parts.

I got the original version when it first came out....holy shit was it difficult at first. Took me atleast 20 tries to beat the first boss...but then again, I was still learning the controls. Although, I always had a hard time against those exploding dart throwing asshole ninjas.

Ninja Gaiden Black is a lot like the 1st one. I know you have a few new weapons but its the same thing really. I haulled ass in NGB. Nobody was really a challenge. The trick is to learn how to counter very well. Master it and the izuana drop(xyxxxy). Just practice it on respawning enemies. That also helps to get your essence up. And I wouldn't really worry about the unlabored flawless. It's okay.

I'm guessing it was harder back then because the only boss that beat me (or made me use rebirth majigger) was the horse guy. I wanted easy to beat it fast because I had no idiea how to fight the horse guy and thought it would get harder from there on but it really didn't.
Also does anyone know if fully leveling the wooden sword is worth it.

it turns into a wooden oar which is pretty powerful but a fully upgraded dragon sword is still much better.
i had no trouble with this game, only at the end when you do 3 bosses virtually in a row!
