Since this topic is turningto into somewhat of a discussion on the controller, I'll add my $0.02. I think that it first it will be harder for most people to play games with it instead of a normal controller. But once people get used to it and using it feels more natural it'll be a pretty hit. Like people have said before, it's similar to using a keyboard and mouse for first person shooters - if you're not used to it it can feel a little weird, but when you get the hang of it it's a great set up.

Now, as for Zelda, I'm very excited for it. I don't think I've ever played a Zelda game that I didn't enjoy.

The reason the GCN version is being delayed now is because they are going to release Twilight Princess for the Gamecube AND Wii on the same date. Two versions.

If you don't like using the Wii remote you could always plug the gamecube controller into it and use that.

Anyways, Twilight Princess was promised for gamecube, but they saw promise for it on the Wii and are waiting for release on both systems...its all good. I'm waiting.

From where I come from, stating a console is for "old people" is considered a form of bashing. I don't remember Nintendo ever EVER stating the Wii is for the "less gamer part of the population, women, young kids and old people". It's a gaming console and as such it's meant for gamers. Just because you're leaning away from the console doesn't mean it isn't going to be great. It's obviously NOT aimed towards those who love tons of gore and shiny graphics. That's simply not it's demographic. But to say you're impartial and don't bash Wii/Nintendo is a farce.

Then again, maybe the rest of the world is sane and I'm not. Maybe someone else can interpret your statement I quoted and say that it was totally impartial and not meant to "put down" the Wii/Nintendo. I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who would think you were objectively describing the Wii and it's intended audience.

I'm not sure which system I'm going to buy Twilight Princess for. I was orginally going to buy it for the GameCube so I don't have to buy a whole new system, but since seeing the SSB Brawl trailer, I'm going to end up buying the Wii anyway so I might as well buy TP for Wii too.

Ummm, Nintendo actually did say they were hoping to attract people who didn't typically play video games. Not to say that they aren't still trying to appeal to their normal fan base, but what rand0m said is true. He may have implied by his post that the Wii wasn't for anyone serious about gaming, but I certainly wouldn't call that bashing the Wii. The truth is if you're a "hardcore" gamer into graphics, "real-time weapon change", and "hitting the weak point for massive damage," then the PS3 is probably for you.
