Then perhaps this might be of use to you.

9/10 students say Tom Lehrer is completely insane. The remaining one was a lawyer. (http://www.privatehand.com/flash/elements.html)

Feel free to sing along.

My teacher played that (not that exact one but it was close) to us in 7th grade.
But who the hell in the world would memorize all the elements though. So that song is useless.

the ones that are "new" are easy... there's a formula to their name

ex. element 118 is Ununoctium... Un (which means 1), un (which still means 1), and oct (which means 8), followd by "ium", which, I guess, scientists just think sound kewl next to elemental names.

similarly, 116 is ununhexium, 120 is (if we've discovered it yet) unbinilium (nil = 0), 217 would be biunseptium, and 666 would be hexhexhexium.

note: any such elements that use this naming formula are temporary names, basically until scientists decide who to name them after.

Edit: Having listened to the song, I don't really like it... well, it's kewl and all... nice tune... but in my chemistry class, we had to memorize where each element is on the table, not just their names... this song doesn't help with that

I've memorized the countries of the world song from Animaniacs, Hamlet's to be or not to be sililoquy, all 50 US states in alphabetical order, and the prologue to the Canterbury Tales in Old English, but this is a bit much.
