Not really. But since I'm a drummer, I really appreciate the drumming in jazz.

Being a Nazi, I hate jazz.
I havn't really looked into Jazz much, but the stuff I have heard I don't really like.

Jazz influenced stuff like Atheist and some Dream Theater I do like.

Pat Metheny is an outstanding guitarist, and I don't even need to comment on Pastorius :D.

You might like some fusion jazz/rock stuff like Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Meanwhile, have you heard Cynic? Tony Choy played bass for both Cynic and Atheist.

Herbie Hancock's 'Maiden Voyage' is an overlooked jazz masterpiece. If ye have the facilities, I recommend ye obtain.

Django Reinhardt is great - he was Tony Iommi's (Black Sabbath) biggest guitar influence.

If you like Django, you'll probably also like Eddie Lang. Lang came slightly earlier than Django, but they're both awesome jazz guitarists.
