I am getting a new amp but I want to get some opinions on what amp to get. All I have ever used since I've been playing is a small shitty 10 watt amp for practice. I would have gotten one earlier but I decided to get another guitar first. (That was back in December). So now I am getting an amp. I am going to spend anywhere from 230-300$, or somewhere around that range. I want an amp that can get loud but has nice tone. I mostly play rock music and a little blues. Any suggestions?

Those microcube amp things are cool and portable. Right now I have a pretty shitty fender amp (first one ever got).

i doubt you can get anything more than a decent 30 watter if you're only willing to spend that much.

I'm not a millionare buddy. My parents are rich. I am not. They are also cheap. They are buying it not me. They have their "limits" for cash. I am getting a job this summer but need an amp bad.

Go to a local music shop that sells used amps. I got a decent 50 watt 70's amp for about $150 that worked for my band up until we started touring. You can usually get very good amps for a cheap price that are in pretty good condition for cheap at small music shops.

Buying second hand would be very smart. Remember, you need tubes. 50 watts is ample.

I got a Behringer GMX 212 for $160. 120 watts, 2 channels. I like it.

That is used though. I think you can find them for around $260 used.

Vox Valvetronix Series. (nething but metal)

OR

Roland Cube Series (if u play metal)

VERY nice tones outta these 2 companies. Do NOT get Marshall MG's or Line 6 Spiders.
