Alright. I have saved up enough scratch to get a new guitar... newly used. Its a Carvin DC200 and its used.

Jet black, Floyd Rose with Sperzel locking tuners, not a locking nut. It has 2 active humbuckers, the model of which I am unsure on. Active treble/bass control. Passive Tone and such. Phase switching, coil tapping and all that shit. It is a really nice guitar, visually and tone wise.

Its $650 with a hard case, before tax. I am wondering if I can get it any lower. The people there dont seem to know much about it, and it has been there for a while. They also know me there, and are always happy to see me. I have a decent amount of pull in that shop.

Go in and say you've only got X amount of money and that you are really interested. If it's been there for a while they may be more willing to haggle on the price. But I'm not sure, I don't know how willing stores are to haggle on stuff like that. I mean that's kinda like going into best buy and telling them you want to lower the price on a TV that's been on the shelf for a few months.

Good luck

I plan on bringing cash. Throwing it on the table and point out the guitar I want.

In a manner of speaking.
