We have had two great chances for goals from Owen, he made a nice run from the wing, and two excellent attempts at volleys from crouch.

If I watched just the last 10 minutes I would say that was the same England that smacked Germany 5-1 years back. But no. The finishing was just not to be found the 80 minutes before. I think England has been coasting to his point. And I honestly think they are gonna coast through the Sweden game knowing they are through to the next round regardless of the outcome. And I just don't think you can coast for a few games and then turn it on. Maybe they can, I dunno.

But I think we can agree that if they play like they did in these last two games, they won't have an easy time with some of the better teams in the tourney.

It was tough breaking down TT as they played very defensively but you could tell it was going to come and I predicted that there would be goals in the last few minutes similar to Australia. If Crouch could put in easy oppurtunites it would have been wrapped up by half time although Lampard should have hit the back of the net as well.

We got to plug the gaps for fuck sake. It's said over and over but Gerrard and Lampard don't work together, Lampard is too used to bombing forward and whenever he gets the ball, he hunts for glory with a shot. Fair dues, he can hit a ball but 8 times out of 10 he aint scoring against a top class keeper. All this leads to Gerrard been stuck as the holding man and Lamps is a great player but I don't think there are many centre midfielders in the world going forward better than Gerrard. With Beckham dropping deep too our flow is completly fucked, in goes a long ball for Owen to lose control of or Crouch to head fucking nowhere.
