Dear Australian People,
So what is the lyrebird's own original song. The Wikipedia thing says they have one but dont say what it is.
Is it the rain drop sound?
Sincerely,

Looks like it might be real after all...

The lyrebird is capable of imitating almost any sound — from a mill whistle to a cross-cut saw, and, not uncommonly, sounds as diverse as chainsaws, car engines and alarms, rifle-shots, camera shutters, dogs barking and crying babies.

One of the best things I've seen in a very long time. That was awesome. I've heard of lyre birds before, but never knew they could do that shit. That was incredible.

That chainsaw part tripped me out! I'm still questioning whether it's real or not...

It's funny how I never imagined the possiblity of a bird mistaking man made sounds like a car alarm for the mating call of another species of bird. Awesome video.

(I gotta say, the content this week has been way above standard)

The camera with the motor drive was where I started laughing out loud. The forester sounds are amazing. The bird even captures the way the sounds echo through the forest; hammer strikes, chainsaw stutters, hand saws. I totally want one of these birds. :ahhh:
