Well iran played terrible vs mexico, the couch of iran said zandi is now fit to play which is great news and iran will play a more aggressive game, i hope to god iran wins, my brain says iran will lose or draw! but if iran wins i am sure iran will go into party mode for 24 hours+ like when they beat japan to be the first asian team to qualify, or were they the first in the world to qualify for the worldcup... i cant remember...
anyways, ideas? predictions? iran is desperate in this game so they will be trying to win!

if they play like the 2nd half against mexico, im denouncing any ties i have with iran through family blood. my bestfriend for 15 yrs is portugese, and his and my family and extended families are all going to watch it on my big ass tv at my house
it shud be intense, over 50 people coming. :D

I think that it will be a draw, Portugal isn't at its best either.
if Portugal score 2 goals in the first half, they will most likely end up scoring another 2-3 in second half too, iran is like a baby, once the opponent scores a goal everyone starts crying and totally lowers their game performance, african teams are totally opposite, they play their best no matter the score, they are just proud to take part in the world cup.

I predict a 3-0 to Portugal.

COLARI: "HALF-NIL WIN WILL SUFFICE"
And Scolari added that he would be happy with a 'half-nil' win on Saturday over Iran.
Portugal won their first match against Angola, and are favourites along with Mexico to advance to the last 16, but "Big Phil" believes Iran could be dangerous opponents.
"In many ways, this is the most difficult of the three games," he said.
"There are several details, things which put the Iranians apart, things which Angola and Mexico don't have.
"I sense that there is less nervousness in our team than there was before the first game but I also feel there's a little more respect for Iran. The players expect more difficulties than in the first game.
"I think Iran have an excellent team and, as far as I'm concerned, if we win half-nil, 1-0 or 2-1, that will be enough to reach our target."
Huge smiles across my face.

Somewhat unrelated, but does anyone else hate the ESPN2 commentators? The one guy is whiny like that gay ice skating guy, and the other dude just sounds ignorant. Like someone's handing him cards to read. I remember listening to some Irish commentator in '02 and found that much more entertaining.

go iran baby. good half so far, iran is playing conservative, but not over conservative, they have some good spurts. as long as we can play good counter attack its ours.

It's pretty much over now. Iran fucked up when they let Portugal kick that penalty.

i have to stop putting money on iran, they had chances but never finished, morons...
zandi played well, so did mahdavikia.
i lost 25 pounds + my faith on iran's football team, iran should just let angola win imo just to piss mexico off, i rather see angola through than mexico.
Oh yeah, and figo will have a mark on his face for life to remmeber this game by, hey figo, HAHA
