Whats the crack with Eric Ebaum?
He seems to be one of the most hated men on the web and people want eBaumsworld.com removed. And I don’t really understand why.
People say it’s because he steals the content for his site from other sites….. Well of course he does! There are very few time wasting websites that don’t, and those that are 100% user submitted still have stolen media on them, they just get away with it because it’s submitted by users, and a lot of the time the users will crop out any watermarks from the website they got the media from and try to remove any information about where the media originated in hope of claiming it as there own and getting paid for submitting the media.
And of course he is going to put his own watermark on his videos and images and what not, he does not want people hotlinking his media, and of course he is going to remove, crop out or cover up any watermark from the time wasting website he stole the media from, he does not want to be advertising the competition!
If he removes information about the person who made the media then that is wrong, and he should not do that (like removing end credits from a video that give information on who made it). But stealing media from other media websites and putting his own watermark on the media is not wrong, every time wasting website out there does it, they all steal from each other, that’s how it works.
Is there something I’m missing, why do people hate this guy so much?
