Bush normally does a good job of making an ass of himself, but it wasn't the case here. It's a little sad though to think that he still manages to be a complete imbecile most of the time despite all of the practice.

It does make him look kind of silly - but in all fairness, if they had made the same mistake with Clinton (I'm sure he practiced his speeches - then again, the guy is such a natural in front of the camera, so maybe not), he would've looked stupid too.
It's only because of Bush's past gaffes that this one got attention (ever see the one where he talks about gynecologists "practicing their love on women across the country"? I shit you not. It was in a compilation on EBaum's a ways back - funny stuff.)

Yeah I mean bloopers are funny; however with his reputation I was expecting some sort of major grammar error or him saying something completely idiotic. The latter he does on his own. I certainly have, but Bush seems to do it a lot more. And it's certain words that he has the most trouble with, like "nuclear." Now he could be doing that to appeal more to the common man (that's what I think), or to try winning the sympathy of the media for sounding like such a goof. But, if it's a real problem, then it's either a bad speech impediment he can't do much about, or he should pick up Hooked On Phonics or something (and I'm not making fun of him here, there are adult members of my family who could benefit from Hooked On Phonics and I don't think they're stupid).
