Just to let everyone know it's 1-1

both goals scored by mexico, 1 own goal and a nice goal!

BUT mexico will lost, why? because i put £5 on mexico to win, any team i put money on this worldcup has lost, i don't see mexico as an exception.

No no, we will win.

And if we win this, we are gonna go against Germany....

Edit: Going into overtime. Heh, good thing that the second goal by Argentina was offsides.

Jesus Christ, that came out of nowhere...what an amazing goal.
Mexico's got their work cut out for them now, 15 minutes to score or they're out.

That was impressive. That was like the Joe Cole strike the other day. Incredible.

Something for people who think soccer requires no skill to watch.

God DAMN it. We outplayed them, what a fucking shame. I'm so upset right now I can't even think straight. Son of a BITCH.

Csite, I hate you. I told you to bet on Argentina ...

Well hate is a strong word, but damn it. :D

FUCK own goals!

I don't think you outplayed them, you held your own, but no more.

If mexico had been a bit cuter with their final ball, and more clinical at finishing, they may have stood a better chance.

well played meixico, i guess these two teams are used to each other, they must play often in friendly's right?

what a 3rd goal, it was worth a million goals, i thought i won £40 from my £5 but i was disappointed.

sorry mexican people here, didn't mean to disappoint you, but don't worry, i am betting on england winning the worldcup, so no chance for them.

That wasn't an own goal, but that was a red card the Argentinian player should have received.

Yes it was, Crespo didn't even touch it.

The red card Argentina should've received, cancelled out their goal at the end of normal time. Mexico played well, granted, but Argentina were the better team overall.

I told ya to bet against Mexico, csite. Damn, well, bet in favour of Brazil... Brazil losing will make me happy.

Anyway, the game was good, Mexico played well... but not that well... Argentina owned the 2nd half... perhaps their last goal wasn't offside at all... dunno, gotta check that...

There was a straight red that wasn't marked too... the ref gave Argentina a hand with that one... but overall, well, expected... Mexico never makes it past the round of 16... nice 2nd goal from Argentina, though...

You say "We." You don't seem Mexican.

Look at the replay in yahoo, he does touch it, just barely, and that changes the trajectory of the ball, it wouldn't have gone in if he hadn't touched it.

I'm not, but my husband (and thus, his family) is. I cheer for Mexico because they're so much more exciting to watch than the US, and well being down there with my family especially when Mexico plays, I feel that Mexican pride.

Mexico was the best of the two side, but unfortunatly for them Borgetti made an own goal and Rodriguez scored a goal that will probably be in the top 5 of best goals made at this world cup. They deserved to win, but that's how football is:squint:

No, the touch that changes the trajectory is the defenders head.

If the Argentinian hadn't of touched it, borgetti's interception would have been a good one. The Argentinian causes the goal.

I disagree, end of.

Although the silly Germans have credited Crespo with the goal. lol

Crespo touched it. End of Story.

and FIFA also determined via video replay study that Crespo put the last touch and credited him the goal.. reversing the initial own goal decision. check BBC if you don't believe me.

oh yeah... so sit on it and spin if you don't like it... :)

biased english bastard

Argentina and Mexico were even in the first half, then Argentina played
better and better as the game progressed. A tough game, but skill and
experience perservered in the end.

Yeah, but FIFA gave Beckham the goal against Paraguay..so they're obviously reliable.

I tought that Mexico was the better team. But Argentina just has the players who can finish you in a blink if you don't finish them. I guess that's some kind of skill too:)
