Longtime ESPN Baseball analyst Peter Gammons suffered an aneurysm in his brain Tuesday morning near his home on Cape Cod, Mass. He was airlifted to a Boston hospital, where he is currently undergoing surgery.

Tough news, hate to see it happen to a guy like him, he's the best analyst in the game today and one of my favorites, hope he gets better soon and gets back to analyzing baseball.

Turns out that he will be alright as of right now, he will be in an ICU for 10-12 days, and released.

Peter Gammons is one of the only reasons I still watch ESPN. He's always insightful and is a true pleasure to listen to / read as a sportwriter. I wish him a speedy recovery and a lifetime of good health in the future.

He is one of, if not the, best analyst in baseball. They were saying on the radio this morning, and I agree, that he is one of the few who have become more famous than many of those that they cover. I am hearing that he will be ok and I am glad to hear it.
