So who do you think will win the tour, what stages are you looking forward to, or who is your favorite tour rider this year (even if most of the favoritesare out). Post anything Tour related, hopefully this will be as exciting as Lances' 5th Tour win.

Without lance, i doubt people will care at all.

But i would go with jan ulrich simply becasue he seemed to have been in most of the last few Tours

EDIT: didnt know everyone was banned. In that case, go USA!

I thought Lance said he was going to race again last year?

Last year, I know, but I don't keep up to date with this stuff.

I think he said it to piss of those French faggots who said he blood doped months after he won his 7th.

I wish Lance would race again just to further piss off these idiots..

LMAO at that dipshit Ulrich....accuses Lance of doping, while he is doping himself....what a fuckin tool.

God I love the Tour, this is like my favorite time of year. I'll be rooting for all the Americans especially Hincapie, I was hoping he'd edge out Hushovd in the prologue.

Like someone said earlier, a USA 1-2-3 sweep would be pretty awesome.

edit: i wounder y greg lemond also would say that lance doped... jealesy maybe?? i absolutly love both riders (i mean i have a signd poster of lemond and lances' signature pump when he won the alpe d'huez in 2001 poster both in my room [and one of mercx signed to my dad, which is super kewl. y isnt axel nearly as great as a rider as his dad... his dad would sure be a hard act to follow lol]) but y doesnt lemond believe him. o well

lol did anyone c saturday night live last night? they had lance as the host and hes like,
i hope tonight doesnt go too well (or somethin similar) because this one time i did something incredible and now i have to get my urine tested every 35 seconds.
i lol'd

then he does the skit where he does the iron man competition and come in dead last cause he cant run or swim for shit. it was good to see a less serious armstrong like we see all the time on OLN and have him laugh at himself

After today it's definately not going to be an American, Leipheimer is the highest ranked at 7.46 and Landis choked big time and is now 11th at 8.08. Pereiro is now leading the pack, but I don't think he's going to win because he's not consistent enough (a while ago he managed to lose more than 25.00 on the peleton in one day!) It would be nice if Mentsjov managed to step up and win it (though I'm not sure if he's any good at the timetrails, that's going to matter a lot).

Hasn't Landis's hip just turned to dust. These are super-human athletes. I find it mindblowing that they can do this over and over again every day.

Damn, Landis just finished first with about 5:30 ahead of th nr2...

That's gonna go down a little, but still, with this victory he suddenly is one of the bigger candidates for the win!

Good call.

Landis is currently in the lead by 5+ minutes.

Good timing, by the time you posted it, you were either roughly 17 hours too late or you were showing an extreme misunderstanding about cycling. Because yesterday he finished with a lead of 5+ minutes, but when you posted it, he had finished his race 17 hours ago and therefore your statement would be referring to the overall ranking in which Landis is 3rd with 30 secs behind. And yes, I had realized it, but I don't think anybody saw this coming, because normally Landis wouldn't have been allowed to drive off by the big boys, but the other candidates (Perreiro, Mentsjov, Evans) weren't good enough to get the peleton going and chase Landis down early on in the race.

well, today was the last time trial and some how landis managed to pull it off. so here r the standings going into paris tomarrow
1. floyd landis (usa)
2. oscar pereiro (esp)
3. andreas kloden (ger)
4. carlos sastre (esp)
5. cadel evans (aus)

13. levi lepheimer (usa)
32. george hincape (usa)
im kinda disappointed at hincape, he just kinda disappeard from the whole race mid way through. o well as long as one of the americans won im happy.
