I tried to set up a little shrine thingy...but nothing happens??

First, go back to the skeleton.. I forgot which view its on, But just click on the skeleton once then click the space to go to his legs.. grab the key from his left hand, the one closest to you, and when you get the key, take the blanket. There should be a lock, put in the combo 0427 and it should open, nothing special.

the key you got is for the red diary on the shelf. So go open it, and flip to the last page, you can just flip through quickly or slowly, but if you're goin quick be sure to stop when you get to 30 or so pages, and take the blank cd at the end.

Now, click opn the hair then go to About Item and use the lighter with it twice. (Figure this out on your own :P If ya cant, just post again... I'll tell)

Next, click on the blanket and go to About Item and click on it a few times, you'll get a net for a cube, (this relates to the burnt paper thing)

You need the following on the shelf-

-COLD Beer (You need to keep the beer in the fridge for a while)
-CD Case with CD
-Insence
-Insence burner is lit

You don't need the retard picture frame. The following must also be done-

-Skeleton must be unlocked
-Soul box must be constructed

And the number 0427 is significant, it's the day the guy died.

How the hell do you know that's the day that guy died?? In the diary on April 27th it doesn't say anything that suggests that. I think the combo is actually 0430, because 0427 didn't work for me. And 0430 makes a lot more sense to be the day the guy died.

I believe the date in the diary changes depending on the date you played the game. When I played, the diary goes up to May 1st or something like that. Which means the number on the combo lock would also change.

If you bothered to read the previous posts, you'd find out that the combo changes depending on the DATE you played the game. The combo is one of the dates in the diary. The key is to find which page in the diary has a special significance, then use that page's date as combo.

And just in case you couldn't figure which page is the important page...well, it's the last page.

Just got to this part and couldnt figure it out. Looked up the date he died and it was on July 4th 2004, now i tried to enter this in the combo as many ways as i could nothing seemed to work. Anyone else find this to be ture?

For what was stated before is correct for this to be right; one of these combos 0474, 0447, 7404, 7044, 4704, or 4047 should work... this is really frustrating.

Worked for me as well. I'm working on getting some of those strange words recorded nicely (if you try to get out the door), if you flip them around he says something along the lines of.

That game is so easy... i figured it out almost instantly... really its only common sence, look where u least exspect. But it is a great game. I hope somehow they make another one... i dont know how with that ending, but posibly u know?

nothing happened after that. the walk through doesnt explain this well enough. i started with the first character, for number one and i worked my way up to #2, then 3 and so on. Nothing happens!

Are you sure you have ALL the characters EXCACLTY right? It's different every time.

First you look at the dice sheet.

then you take for example 1. Look where1 would be on the dice sheet and then look to where it crorsponds on the character sheet.

Then put that character, (MAKE SURE ITS RIGHT OR IT WON'T WORK) and put it on that number on the dice fold up.

do that for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and it should fold up.

If you would read the thread you would realize that 0427 is not the code for every game.

Also I think there may be a glitch with getting the lighter because I'm playing it through for the second time and it won't let me lift up the garbage can no matter where I click.

to get the lighter you have to examine the hair first and then it lets you lift up the trash can. its a glitch.

Did anyone notice that there was a storyline? You're not necessarily a living being, but you're actually the skeleton's soul. Trying to escape the viridian room. Notice the beginning 'I've been drinking too much' stuff?
