Butters!

Here's a quick bit of humor. This happened in an AIM convo. I had with a friend. To protect the stupi...err, innocent, the SN's have been changed.
Just so the story is clear, here's a little intro: my friend agreed to pay his debt to me once he landed a new job. He finally found a job that would take him and it goes from there...
me: When do you get paid?
friend: Next pay day is next week.
me: OK, noted
me: Hey, I forgot, what do you owe me?
friend: 3 dinners, a movie and gas
me: 60 bucks
me: Hey thats how much you owe me
friend: Is $40 of them for gas?
me: no
friend: Then where did the $60 come from? 3 dinners at $6 each and a $7.00 movie ticket total $25 ????
me: ......... :squint:
me: Are you serious?
me: 3 x $6 = $18
$7 for movies
$35 gas
Add all that together and what do you get? $60
friend: Ok, $35 then...
friend: for gas
me: Yeah....unless you wanna pay me $40 for gas which is what you're asking me for
me: Then you owe me $65
me: Your pick
friend: I'll take the $60
me: Naw, really?!
me: Hahaha
me: $60 next week
It's funny because if someone owes $60 and $25 of that is for a movie ticket and dinner, you would assume they'd know how much gas was by doing simple mathematics.
