So... I just reinstalled Oblivion out of boredom and decided I don't feel like playing the vanilla version. Do any of you guys have any mods you'd recommend? I've heard there's some really great ones out there like horse armor and more weapons and armor. :o

dont get the 360 version, the load times are rediculous, and its much harder to play. and as far as have a pc taht can handle it, just basicly need one with a g card of 9800 ati or 6200 nv, and a processor of 2.0+ a dvd player,, nothing grand. minimum req are way higher then what they need to be

Their forums were hacked today, anyone who went to them earlier may want to run a virus scan.

I think the loads are alright on the 360. It would have been better if they reduced the slowdown when your galloping on the horse.

I'm 0 for 4 on that...I'm good with the 360...

It may be better on a high end PC, but if you have an HDTV, you have to get the 360 version...It looks soooo beautiful....a lot better than a new high-end PC...

And I just happen to have a 62 inch:D ...

*Insert overused Penis Joke*

On-Topic: I think the Load times were good on the 360, I got 1-4 second loads so I never understand why people were always complaining

Ya, if load times increase, you just have to clear the cache...and then they are short again...

It is something along the lines of holding the green button while turning the 360 on..or something...I dunno, look it up, because I hear it helps. The only problem is that it deletes any patches you have.

I remember PC Gamer had a bunch of them. I can't find the issue, but I did download some and have the data files:

- Blue Lagoon: Makes the water not muddy and gross, but clear.
- Dimensional Pocket: Allows a secret area you can summon to for storage; never got this to work.
- Everburn Torches: Long-lasting torches.
- Flying Deaths: Makes bodies go flying. I have a story; I had a dog attack me in a house for a Dark Brotherhood quest and I give one last sword swipe. This thing goes flying onto a table, slides on said table knocking off a bunch of bowls and silverware, and collapses on the ground. Most awesome ragdoll story in Oblivion I have.
- Kumiko Manor: EXTREMELY useful house near Leyawiin (I think), but also very expensive. Cannot recall the price, but once you buy it you will not leave it. You can train in one area with an archery range (very creative AI workings) or a skirmish room. You also earn 200 gold for so many kills. You have huge rooms for any use that come pre-furnished. You have a full alchemy garden with every single reagant in the game (except for things that drop from enemies). You can put two reagants in a certain chest and after a week, you get a whole bunch of them. You can create custom spells, custom weapon enchants, and a whole bunch of other features.
- No Psychic Guards: Prevents guards from wandering into a house at random while you're stealing. They are toned down a lot and it helps thieves a lot.
- XTS Merchant Mod: Makes a merchant named Xtreme the Merchant around the Imperial City Arena that has a huge supply of enchanted weaponry, can teach something (can't remember what), can re-enchant weaponry, can repair, and has a chest that has all the stuff that he sells (if you're feeling adventurous you can break into it, steal, and run like hell).
- Underground Assassin: Extends the Dark Brotherhood questline a little bit; points out a dealer that has good assassin weapons.

You should also pick up Quest Award Leveling (http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=230). Oblivion tends to make you wait a lengthy time level-wise (30's) if you desire the better quest items, since the items are level-based. This mod allows you to do quests in Oblivion, and when you hit the appropriate level the awarded items now level up.
