Tool are good, but Isis are better.

Who is this Isis? Sounds like I need to check them out. What type of music do they play? Can anybody recommend and album?

P.S. Uneart, I plan on going to all 3 shows in Texas, assuming I can get all the tickets before they sell out. Hopefully the same bullshit that happened with the last show in Dallas won't happen again.

Isis plays a weird type of music. They're really hard to classify. I would say mainly its a blend between post-rock/doom/hardcore (hardcore elements minor, and mainly define the vocals).

They're really great. Get Panopticon. It's brilliant.

ahhh, isis is amazing. oceanic is one of the best heavy albums i've ever heard in my life. the reason i call it "heavy" is because i honestly don't know how to classify isis. they are in a world of there own. all i can say is... when you listen to them, they take you into another world. get oceanic. NOW.

Isis is a bitch to classify - I think Encyclopedia Metallum has them down as atmospheric sludge or something like that. I classify them as fucking awesome if that helps :D.

Anyway, seeing both Isis and Tool would be amazing.

This is how I think. Yes, you could also add sludge/stoner to it, but those are just sub-genres of doom.

Dude, just go over to Waterloo and get their album 'Oceanic'. Listen to it, and put your thoughts to rest.

The online tickets sold out in about 5 seconds max. This time I think I'm just gonna go wait in line at the an actual ticket vendor.
