I have an adventure quest account but I did everything you could on a free account and i dont like it enough to upgrade. Moneys not a problem but a kinda want a game a can test before I pay for a subscription. So please tell me some Online PC games that are fun that are Massive Multiplayer. Thanks for your time.:help:

lollololloo u dumb shit! MMOs are like 5000+ people playing on 1 server, in cs you have like 24 players in 1 server, and CS isnt an RPG either you fag!

Anyhoo, if you have money for a monthly fee, get World of Warcraft, if you cant keep up with the payments, play runescape. Runescape is free, theres also a very cheap monthly fee of $5 for extra stuff, but thats optional (you can play for free if you want)

How fun is guild wars? It looks pretty cool but I've heard different stuff from different people.

It's way too short. It's about a quarter of the size of WoW, and a third of the level cap. After 20, it's basically endless, mindless PvP.

Okay for one, your a fucking idiot. An MMO is a game thousands of people play at once, but they don't have to be in one server. Battlefield 2 is an MMO, as is counter strike. Here's the definition:

A Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG or MMO) is a computer game which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously, and is played on the Internet.

Nowhere in there does it say all in one server. And two, it's obvious you didn't read his post:

If your gonna say shit make sure you can back it up with actual facts, and not some made up bullshit. FAG.

And Guild Wars is okay... I played it for two weeks but eventually got bored and quit.

did...did you just add "on one server" to that quote and make believe you were right?

I don't know about this type of stuff but the argument the Canadian is bringing up is just senseless. FAG!...fucking 10 year old.

Stop arguing like a bunch of 5 year-olds

Suggestions:

Counter-Strike (you did afterall say just MMO games, not MMORPG)

World of Warcraft (heard it's addicting as hell but sweet...I've never played it)

Battlefield 2

I dont know how many of the RTS games are MMO, but that could also be worth looking into.

^^CS and Battlefield2 aren't MMO, even the developers know that.

My fave MMO is Shattered Galaxy.

oh whatever, they're multiplayer online games, and a lot of people play them (hence why i lumped them into MMO). I apologize for not knowing my game genres well enough

LOL U BETTA RESPECT FAG, DONT SAY SHIT YOU ARNT CERTAIN BOUT NOOB

Im sorry, just remember, a MMO is a game with thousands of players on 1 server, just becuase you have like a million CS players doesnt mean its an MMO< they arnt really playing with each other as you join a server, you dont have all of the CS players on 1 server. sKin obviously knows hes wrong, but hes denying it because he want to be super on teh internet

If you're looking for something different, try the Planetside free trial. It's one of the very few FPS games that's MMO, where hundreds of players can fight in one place. Sony almost gave up on it from what I heard but just recently they started putting more work into it to add things like cheat detection and new weapons and vehicles.

Hmm, go out and buy yourself Starcraft battle chest you wont be dissapointed I promise. Also Diablo II is a amazingly addictive multiplayer game, both games are made by blizzard.

Wow, Canadian is a fool. Who really gives a shit if it's one thing or another, I would call both of you right, since Massive Multiplayer Online Gaming can mean BOTH. It doesn't say anywhere that an MMO is in one server or branched out into many servers. Which leads me to a thought that it probably means both. But hey, if you want to be a washed up piece of shit, go for it, everyone will hate you.

Some games I'd reccomend.

CS - all of them, they are all really good.
BF series - Battlefield 2 is probably the best, but Battlefield 1942 is also good(not as many players)
WoW - I played it, and it was okay, the game is pretty much endless, but you have to pay $15/month and $50 for the game. Get it if you have money.
Guild Wars - If you're short on money get this. It only costs like $35, but the level is capped at 20.
Runescape - It's okay... You can choose f2p of p2p seeing as it runs in your internet web browser, it's not really a great game.

If you arent an RPG man to begin with, I wouldnt pick WoW or Guild wars, its torture to level and not worth it in the end.
Thus i dont play it.

Get you some Starcraft , its highly addictive and if bored of regular gameplay you can play user created craziness with fun map settings.

Guild Wars is awesome. Incredible PvP, and really fun game. I played it when it first came out. I'm an old-schooler, and sold off my account when they made some big bogus changes which changed the way of the game (the currency etc).

In my opinion, Everquest used to be the best MMO out there, until SOE went to hell and started creating a new expansion for the game daily... Once the expansion "Planes of Power" came out, the game became too easy and very boring.
