I went to the 7/9/06 show in San Diego and it was kickass. Didn't get too see all of the sidestage bands because of the World Cup but still got there in time for Atreyu.

Here is how I rank the performances of the artists at ozzfest in SD. I just gotta say that Lacuna coil is amazing live, some of their shit sounds better live than it does on their album.

2. Disturbed
3. Avenged Sevenfold
4. Dragonforce
5. System of a Down
6. Atreyu (sidestage)
7. Black Label Society (sidestage)

Absolutely the biggest disappointment and complete waste of space was Hatebreed. They were terrible. Singer cant growl or scream or whatever it is he does for shit. They sounded like a bunch of 16 mo. year old kids banging pots and pans.

Yeah once they figured out the audio (they fucked it up for like the first few songs) there were some crazy solo's that lasted for like 10 minutes.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dragonforce or BLS. It's too bad Zakk Wylde is such a cunt because he's a good guitarist.

i was only 12 so i dont rember much besides slayer , ozzy and drowning pool

but im seeing slayer again this year for the 3rd time
but year ozzfest has gone downhill as time has gone on

System of a Down is a great band, but I don't really think it's the Ozzfest kind of music. They don't really seem to fit into one particular genre. Though some of their music is the head-banging-bat-eating kind, songs like Aerials and Lost in Hollywood are something entirely different.
Then again, that's why I love their band.

Ozzfest has never been able to show off a great lineup. I would have gone to see Iron Maiden, but that is the only show in the history of Ozzfest I would have ever attended.

If only the lineup wasn't like Wacken (even though it rather half sucks)....

I love Lacuna Coil, they are one of my favorite bands.
System of a Down has 2 good songs, BYOB and Aerials.
Zakk Wlyde is always good.
Disturbed has a couple good songs.

Do you like Cephalectomy? Being death metal and Canadian, I'm guessing you know a bit about them.

I've just got some of their songs recently, and they sound pretty decent... I like.
