Just got it, great game.

Are the expansions worth it?

My PC sucks, so I go to a local gaming cafe to play it...and yes, it is freaking awesome...I am a good sniper. My only annoyance in that game is jet campers...if you are sitting there and waiting to a jet to spawn so you can use it, they will be a-holes and walk right up next to you and try and get it before you...

I got soo tired of that crap I grabbed a shotgun and would blow away anyone who came near me...a medic would heal them and I would blow them away again...

At first I couldn't play it because it required a good cd key to play online. But then my mate won a free copy and he kept that one and gave me his old copy (which worked at the time).

I spent about 5 fun hours playing it, but after that it wouldn't work. It kept complaining that the CD wasn't in the drive. So I looked at it, and it was slightly scratched. I tried to image it and I received a lot of errors.

Normally CDs (especially CD-ROMs) are resilient as hell, but this one screwed up :(.

Anyway, I had never played Battlefield online, so this was a bit of a step up in difficulty. There are a few things which annoy me including the crappiness of the sniper kit and the fact that I get artillery'd far too often. Good game though.

I just play the demo. It only has one map but no time restriction.

I also only play the demo. My brother has the full game, but most of the maps are way too big even for a 64 player game.

i found this game fun but a bit average for some of the time but then really awesome once you get a good map and good players

I played the demo on my Xbox 360 on a plasma tv and all I can say is it looked amazing.
Unfortunately, I don't have a great computer and the 360 version only lets (I think) 24 people into a game, so I have no real reason to buy the game.

*A notice to those that played the consle version*
The Pc version is much better, in that it almost seems like an entirely different game
*that is all*

crappiness of the sniper kit
And I found it funny to out-snipe someone with a pistol.

And lastly, stat postn' time http://bf2s.com/player/47214461/

I love this game. It's the one I always come back to. Like the good porn you forgot about.

As for the expansions, I only bought the second one (fighting in america) but I've liked it so far. Nice change of pace.

If you lay down mines, then change class, do they disappear?

how the hell can you shoot anything with the jet? i just drop and chute :)

how exactly are points given to the teams? kills and flags i know....

whats the diff between the primary and secondary grenade fires?

1 - No, they will remain for a period of time... I think

2 - Practice. I suck in them but it must be possible to get good. I get owned by them often.

3 - a death = a ticket loss. the more flags you control the faster the others teams tickets will fall.

4 - this game has nades!?!?! no wey!

Since my PC only has an Intel video chipset, I got BF1942 Complete Collection for my birthday. It includes BF1942, Road to Rome and Secret Weapons expansion packs, Battlefield Vietnam, and numerous modding and hosting programs. It was 8CDs, 5GB of disk space, and only $20!!!

Just installed it last night though. Haven't played it yet.

Its my fav online game,

I upgraded my pc just for this game.

3,4mhz 2videocards and 2024ram, it still take some time 2 load some of the maps.

The maps are big, but with 64players its pretty intense,
Only thing i cant stand is, i cant control a heli or jet.......i crash before i even enter the goddahm thing.

I have the special forces expansion and i love it.
You have a grablinghook/nightvision/flashbang and some other new things.

Yeah, I have BF2, and it's pretty fun. It gets old after you play it for about 4 months because it's just the same thing over and over. But other than that it's an awesome game. I'm pretty good in a chopper/jet since I played so much BF1942 and BF1942 with the DC mod. And I also played BF:V so I'm pretty used to flying in jets and heli's. I'd reccomend it if your PC can handle it.

I'd never use a mouse. It's soo much easier to control aircraft with a keyboard.
