RE: The Moon landing: "...some people don't believe that happened, they believe that was, ah, REINCARNATED in Arizona somewhere."

This is so NOT fake. A good portion of the population really is that clueless. It's amazing how they get around in life and manage to find at least some financial success. Truly a testament to how great it is to live in America.

Definitely. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that America didn't get to the top of the food chain by being stupider than the rest of the world. In fact, it's made up of people from the rest of the world, but only the ones that had the means, guts, and good sense to relocate here. (With the exception of an obvious certain section of the population that shouldn't have been brought here against their will.)

joecnt, I am amazed at your post. You make a post trying to prove how intelligent you are, but you get your facts wrong anyway. Louis Armstrong is not an astronaut and the reporter is not British, he is Australian. You had all the resources of the internet to check that you were right, but you still managed to get some wrong.

Maybe you should have been featured in this video?

I would think you would have to be completely fucking retarded to think that Louis Armstrong landed on the moon or to not know that Collateral Damage is the title of an action movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger released about four years ago.

A large portion of Humanity is that stupid.

I hate how people do these things to make Americans look stupid. They can ask 100 people these questions, and a few would have some really stupid answers, and that's all they show, the stupid answers.

I wish somebody would do this to Europeans.

The stupid answers are funnier than the correct ones, so we really can't blame them for going for laughs. But your suggestion about someone filming Europeans on the street and catching them in stupid answers is really good. I hope an enterprising American does this on their next vacation.

I wonder if any other country besides the US has the balls to film it's own people looking stupid (and I'm not talking about port-a-potty users being suddenly launched on jet skis).

You're right...that's why when this is posted it's usually followed by "Americans=Stupid" or comments such as "Oh vay, what's wrong with Americans these days..."

Don't be a dumbass, this was intentionally made to make Americans look stupid. Otherwise, why wouldn't they add a few correct answers in there to show not everyone they interviewed is retarded? Or better yet...why didn't they do this in their own country...or your country (If not the same)? I mean, if they're "just taking a stab at people in general" and all...

People outside of North America.. such as in Europe, and even countries in Asia and South America hit by poverty, their levels of education are A LOT higher than here. My entire family was taught in Soviet schools, and the education here is absolutely laughable. The fact that some of you don't know ALL the answers that were asked is just plain silly. All the questions were meant to be easy, thats why they were asked.. There would be nothing funny in asking challenging questions.

i'm not going to say that americans are dumb, but many of them are very ignorant to the world around them. I was caught behind some american girls at the checkout line in walmart today, and they were holding up the line because they didn't know what a loonie, or a toonie was for. nevermind the fact that they thought they got a discount because they were paying in american money. dont get me wrong though, i have to deal with people everyday who i could swear are at least semi-retarded.

Yes, a lot of people are pretty damn stupid, but why didnt they show all of the answers to all the questions for each person? They only show the ones they got wrong. Yes some of the answers were stupid, but they might of gotten the other questions right.

So making people seem stupid is really not that hard, you just edit out all the right answers and I'm sure you will make the population look pretty damn stupid.

Entertaining video non the less. I knew all of the answers, but the last one was tricky, it had me thinking for a little bit.

But we isn't dumb. I hope you're joking, because this sentence alone either proves your stupidity, or your girth. You are either saying that you are several people by yourself, or you just dont realise that the correct sentence is "We, however, are not dumb."

You, however, probably were joking. It's true though, the stupidity. I went to Washington, which isnt that far from Canada, and the people there thought we lived in igloos. We told them we measured things in thumbs and that it varied because "as you can see, my thumbs are much bigger than his and my left thumb is slightly smaller than my right." They believed us. We gave them the whole system, the whole 6 square thumbs to a yard etc...

I, however, respect you all like I would respect a handicapped child. And I will never understand why so many of you hate the British. You are their offspring.

Not to be rude, but for some reason I'm not really buying into this story of yours. Either you're making that up or you met up with some ridiculously (obviously) ignorant people that you know couldn't hardly represent an entire nation. Unless, however, you're just really not that bright either.

I've lived near Canada in Ft. Drum New York. The drinking age is lower in Canada than it is in the US, which attracts a lot of nearby younger American residents. Canada also has some really beautiful scenerey and some cool cities, so I have no doubt it also attracts the older folk. All in all, Canada attracts a lot of Americans for various reasons.

People living near Canada, know Canada. The idiots that don't...those that think Canadians live in Igloos(:rollseyes) do not and cannot represent the rest of us. If you think they do, then you are hardly in the position to call people stupid.

You didn't go around asking a large majority of our population. You said you "went to Washington (state)." There are more states than just Washington and their hardly a huge part of our population. Any American that thinks Canadians live in Igloos is obviously not the average American and you're a dumbass for considering such. Especially with those Americans living near the border of Canada.

No, I'm not sorry... I don't care about any ounce of respect you have for the U.S., especially since whatever respect you claim to have is bullshit. Intelegence cannot be measured so easily there are things people know that others do not. It is how we learn. that is why we go to school so we can pass knowledge on from people who know the stuff to the people who don't. and we are not born with intelegence.

intelegence also is not based on how much we know it is based on how much we remember. someone who answered the question about ten eiffel towers obviously had his facts mixed up. perhaps he didn't care about school I know people who dropped out of high school. this is funny.

I got these two friends friend A is the smart one he graduated with me. friend B dropped out a year before graduation. when friend B needed help with a credit card because he maxed it out(300 dollar limit) and owed 50 bucks to the bank(minimum payment) friend A lends 50 bucks to pay for it (being a good friend). then friend B says. Being American and living in Europe, I get to see both sides of the coin.
Ignorance and stupidity is everywhere, in every country.
I've known Americans who have never left the safety of their little cocoon and actually thought Swiss people were like the Swiss Miss on hot cocoa packages, the English were all gay and only drank tea and ate crumpets and the Germans were still Nazis. I've even been asked if we have electricity and television over here...hmmm.
On the flip side, I've met Europeans who held the stereotype that all Americans are fat, lazy and loud mouthed. That most Americans think that they are the "God" of all countries. In other words, just conceited and pathetic.
You are going to get these type of people everywhere. People who have never travelled, people who get their knowledge from things they see on T.V., people who are too patriotic for their own good, you get my point...
As for the video clip, it wouldn't be too funny if they showed the people who got the answers right. So, I am not complaining and I'm not offended in the least bit because I know there are people out there who would provide these answers. I also know there are people who could write a 20 page essay on each question and get it completely right.
But, again, that wouldn't be too funny and wouldn't provide us with entertainment.

Harland Sanders did develop the "secret recipe" chicken in Corbin, KY. However, the first of Sander's franchised restaurants to bear the name "Kentucky Fried Chicken" was in Salt Lake City, Utah.
