Another strange likeness...

I was watching SNL and Fall Out Boy (i know, sorry to mention them guys) were performing, and i never really noticed before but i thought i had heard the bass line to "Dance Dance" before somewhere...

Sure enough i thought about it and realized that its sounds exactly like the bass line to the song "This Is the Place" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, from their album 'By The Way'.

Anybody who has this album take a listen to it and tell me im not hearing things. Flea's bass line goes further down than the one in "Dance Dance" but the beginnings are practically exact.

LOL I'll check it out if I ever hear that song again. It's also like how "Cowboys from Hell" is actually the riff from "Ripping Flesh" by Exhorder, and I swear the White Stripes got the riff for "7 Nation Army" from Death's "Zombie Ritual."

Anyway, they are very similar, and theres no doubt Fall out Boy is influenced by RHCP, so its definitely possible they D-blocked the line. Who knows.
