Hell yeah, man!

Slayer is one of the few "hardcore/death/thrash/whateverfuckinever" metal bands that I can not only stand, but that I actually consider good. In fact, most of these shitty bands wouldn't exist if not for Slayer.

Props.

Slayer sucks, they're repitive and tedious. There are a few riffs I enjoy, mostly their old stuff. Every album that releases sounds the same, it's horribly constructve and the composition is horrible. They need to do something new, there's nothing innovated about the band.

I didn't like their last album, too many similar songs, nothing really new or interesting. I like their 80's and mid 90's shit. Divine Intervention, Diabulos, and the classic shit is my favorite.
I have no intention of getting the new album. I'll have to listen to it and see if it's any good, but I'm not expecting much.

edit-
I'm listening to the first song now. It's much better then I expected, sounds kinda like their older stuff.

Second song is just as good. I think they've managed to redeam themselves after God Hates Us All. I fuckin hated that album.

Some of the songs are pretty good, sort of Seasons in the Abyss sounding. On the other hand, some of them sound like God Hates Us All, which is not a good thing. It's OK for their recent stuff, but I'll stick to the old albums, thanks.

I had never really gotten around to listening to Slayer until you posted this.

I want to stab their vocalist in the face.

This album is decent. A lot better than what I was expecting. I'll download it, maybe buy it.

Its no Chemical Warfare though :(

Hmmm, I'm surprised as well. I had to download the album to preview anything because Myspace was being gay.

So I've only listened to the first track so far, but it surprisingly kicks some ass. It sounds fresh and energetic.

I was expecting it to be mediocre, but it's not. I just listened to it again... and I like.

Metallic, have you checked out Cephalectomy (http://www.cephalectomy.com/sounds.html) yet?

I would recommend giving Dragons Upon the Mountains of Mashu a listen, but it doesn't appear to be one of the downloadable songs.

Also, have you heard Scariot?

Nice, sounds like classic slayer. Those drums are lightning fast. The vocals sound better to, actually keeps up with the tempo.

Sounds awesome to me, even if the lyrics are retarded beyond belief.
