Blame Sharon for what happened at Ozzfest.

MTV and Sharon took Ozzy and fucked him in the goatass.

80's and 90's: Ozzy is a satanist and a dangerous influence on children, even driving them to suicide and murder with suggestive and subliminal lyrics.

2000's: "Mom, can we watch just one more episode of the Osbournes before we go to bed?? Why can't Ozzy be our dad?"

Nah, I don't let one of my favorite group's/artist's personal lives get in the way of how much I love their music.

I really couldn't care less. Maiden was talking shit about Ozzy and they got egged and other crap. Childish shit on both sides.

Yes i do find it impossible to listen to him, because his voice is so sluured and his mind so slow from so many drugs.

Bruce Dickinson was waving the British flag around, proud of his country (between concerts).

There was nothing childish about this, and why should Sharon Osbourne whine about it when she's British?

Also, Dickinson said that Maiden doesn't need a TV show to keep them popular. Not only is that true, but the Osbournes is a load of crap - everyone knows that. Dickinson's just stating the obvious.

I heard that Dickinson was talking bad about Ozzy beyond the tv show. I don't care about the whole incident. Ozzy's voice in Black Sabbath>Dickinson's voice in Iron Maiden. IMO of course.

Bla bla bla, you guys are fags if that shit's gonna stop you from enjoying some great rock. I love his old shit and always will, regardless of what Sharon or Maiden or MTV has to do with it.

I don't listen to him anymore, not because of what happened between his wife and Bruce Dickinson, but because his new music is crap.

I'd much rather listen to Tribute, Diary of a Madman or Bark at the Moon.

Ozzy's old shit is pretty damn good, especially with Randy Rhoads, but i was never a huge fan, probably never will be.

And about Ozzy's voice being better than Dickinson's (both while in their prime), cmon dude... id really like to see Ozzy sing even "Number of the Beast" without sounding like a drunken psycho.

I never really liked the solo carear ozzy, but i can definately listen to black sabbath era ozzy

one complaint of the end of war pigs, has anyone else noticed the complete cheap ending, where it randomly zooms into an overly dramatic crescendo, seriously, i think it blows major balls, all good songs should have a good ending

IMO Dickinson is the greatest vocalist ever, but like both of us said, it is IMO. :D

If you want to hear Black Sabbath with a much better vocalist, listen to Solitude Aeturnus.

I think the extent of Dickinson talking badly about Ozzy was him mentioning that Ozzy needed a teleprompter to tell him the lyrics of his songs. And that's fair enough (and true) - Ozzy has been forgetting the words to the songs he wrote during live performances. Ozzy will always be the god of metal, but it is time for him to give up - he should have done so a while ago.

So basically while people on music forums think that Ozzy should give up and call it pathetic, Dickinson isn't even allowed to mention that Ozzy needs a teleprompter... That's not very fair.

He was great in Sabbath, he shouldve called it quits after that.
Now hes just so out of it , you cant help but laugh. Hes a washed up joke.

I fucking love Ozzy.
The trouble is, I'm old enough to remember when he wasn't a fuck up........ okay, okay... not so much of a fuck up as he is now... and seeing what he's become saddens me greatly.
I went to one of his concerts around 1986/7, and he was fucking awesome.
I think that Sharon has to take a lot of shit for turning Ozzy (and their whole family, more or less) into a fucking circus, and behaving like a total bitch towards Iron Maiden. I don't give a flying fuck who said what and when or about whom; interfering with a band when they're performing to a crowd of fans just isn't on, and Sharon will always be held in utter contempt by me for that.

I still listen to Ozzy's older stuff - everything up to the "No Rest for the Wicked" album, as I genuinely feel that his music tailed off after that.

He deserves criticism. I saw OO in 1995 to promote Ozzmosis..which was heavily publisised. At the gig he didnt perform any of the songs from the album, obviously cause he couldnt be bothered to learn the words..& he wasnt nearly as washed up then as he is now.

I never really liked Ozzys voice. Black Sabbath was good, however, he alone sucks ass. I cant stand all the random pinch harmonics thrown into his songs.

I've never understood why people let the personal lives and outside matters of bands get in the way of how much they like their music.

"I fucking hate how much of a dick Axl Rose is, I'm not going to listen to Guns 'N Roses anymore."

"Oops, Lars Ulrich sued Napster, I'd better stop listening to Metallica right away."

"Oh noes, Sharon Osbourne and Bruce Dickinson are butting heads and Ozzy is now on a show, I'd better stop listening to Ozzy Osbourne and his music with Black Sabbath."

Why do we have to let a musical artist's/band member's personal lives get in the way of the art we indulge in? It's none of our fucking business. Why can't we just listen to albums and not think about the silly mysteries that will never get solved, about the things we have personal against the lead singer? It's like the music itself gets butchered, because now just about every Guns 'N Roses thread turns into a flamefest regarding what a dick Axl is, every Metallica thread turns into a 'Megadeth pwn them Load sellouts' bitchfest and every Ozzy Osbourne thread gets down to how much of a joke Sharon has made 't3h grandfather of metal'. Just enough. Enough with all their business matters, enough with the feuds that we have no part in, and enough of sharing our fantasies about how much we want to fuck their sexy spouses. Just crank the album and enjoy it.

So you would have no issue enjoying a Charles Manson LP i take it? What if Hitler or Mussolini had made a hit record, you would enjoy that too?

If the album is good, I'll take it. Of course, I probably wouldn't like the album if it contained, say, Nazi lyrics, but if Hitler could have put aside his bullshit and made a good music album, then power to him: I'd take it. I listen to plenty of bands who have at least one asshole member, but so long as they don't take that bullshit to their songs and make good music, that's all that really matters to me.

Haha, just as a side note, I listen to Thee Plague of Gentleman, a doom metal band, even though their frontman has been imprisoned for multiple child rape.

As long as the music is good, I'll listen to it. But it admittedly does feel pretty weird listening to music involving a child rapist.
