Stitches are for pussies. I cut my hand open when I punched a window and I bled for a week straight. I never got stitches. That kid just didn't have stitches after he cut it open.

I've gotten a gash (although not like that) in saltwater and it didn't bleed either. It's something with the cold saltwater that impedes the flow of blood.

Ummm, Ok, topic maker is fucking stupid. There is a little something called platelets in your blood. As blood flows from a wound, the platelets cover it up and close it. Even though it can very easily be broken again, platelets are like your bodies natural bandages. He prolly bled, and the platelets closed most of the cut. Thus his lip is torn open an not bleeding. He will prolly have to get stitches, if not his lip will look like that forever.

And to who said "Stitches are for pussies", you're fucking retarted. Stop trying to sound tough and manly. If I took a knife and gashed it across your throat, I guess you're going to die because stitches are for pussies and hell... You aren't a pussy now are ya?

and you can put peroxide(?) on a wound and it reduces the blood flow by a lot
