Axel is a shit eating ass pirate. He wasn't that great of a lead singer, Slash was the real talent in that band.

Buckethead toured with axel after Slash left and totally ruined all of Slash's great parts. Buckethead is a speed guitarist, not a blues player like Slash (rock evolved from blues). Axel is also a little penis stroker for trying to make some money off the band name without all of the band. What a douche bag.

If it was I do believe it was when they were on the same ticket as Metallica, and it was the night that James Hetfield stepped on the pyro and got burnt.That caused them to end thier set early due to the injury and GNR came out and played a short set and split.Peeps were pissed after paying alot of money and getting like and hour long concert.He had the chance to come out and be the hero of the day but instead chose to show his true colors and left early.Asshole for sure.!.

I went to their show at the wachovia center in philly and after sitting through 2-1/2 hours of mix master mike and an hour of waiting....they cancelled the friggen show. Poor CKY opened the show and there was noone there yet so that sucked. They would probably kick ass if they played the troc with their fans in the audience.

too bad they didn't get along as in most good bands do.

The band got along fine. Axl just decided one day that since they got along so well, he could treat them like shit, make shit loads of more money, and everything would be fine. But obviosuly, the rest of the band didnt stand for it and left. He coulda taken things back, given them back their rights to GNR, apologized and the band would still be around today. He just thought he was some kind of God that could make a record without the band, and as these past 10 years have shown, he cant.

Still, I voted for him being a whiney little bitch. I love what he and GnR produced on their albums, but he's just mediocre now. I wasn't really too fond of his live performances anyway. His voice sounds more appealing on the albums and he gets moody on stage.

Little known fact: my mom met Axl when she worked as a banker. She said he was pretty nice and he gave her his autograph (or two, and she might've given it to my aunt, I'll have to ask). Ha, that's only because he thought she was hot.

I saw him 2 days ago.
I went to The Derek Trucks Band's concert at the Roxy on Sunset.
We came out and waited around 45 minutes to get Derek to sign my friend's Gibson SG, while we were there, I saw a familiar face. I recalled someone on this very forum posting pictures of Axl during the release party for a Korn CD or something like that. I immediatly stopped my friends like "That's Axl fucking Rose!".
They didn't buy it at first, but I convinced them.

It was definately him. I wanted to go up and get a signature from him also, but figured he might be an ass about it. I didn't know whether or not to call him Axl Rose, because maybe he wanted to put it behind him.

Didn't seem mean at all. Infact, I saw the openning band's (this CRAZY bluegrass/blues combo, with a chick that plays the washingboard! they were pretty cool) singer/guitar player giving Axl his CD while he was on his phone. And I saw Rose talking to a few people around, I think he was just waiting to get into the club upstairs.

Kind of regret not talking to him, my friends told me I was a bit too excited. I kept repeating "That's fucking Axl ROSE! atleast one of the top 20 vocalists of Rock History!".

Cool experience, anyway.

i thought the new songs on the never coming album sucked. its nothing guns n roses were about. theyre high octane blues rock brought up to 12, dishing out good solid rock songs with emotion and fervor. i dont understand what ideas axl rose has in his head, hes like a mad scientist working away, out of the public eye, but i guess perfection is a must for him. however, i should add apetite wasnt a perfect album, but its still great.
