Metallica

I'm looking to get a new Metallica CD but not sure which one. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to which ones are really good? I always here people saying their old stuff is better. Any suggestions?

If you wanna get a good taste for all around Metallica in their earlier days. Get S&M, without a doubt. Its a concert they did with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and I love that album so much. Its just a compilation of their other stuff. But hardly a day goes buy I dont listen to a song off that album, and I've had it for a long time...

"ride the lightning" is my favorite and the first metallica cd i ever got. I listened to that album every day for like 3 months straight, it never gets old.

And...Justice for All, and Ride The Lightning are the metallica albums i own and i like those alot. Ive heard songs from the master of puppets and it is good also. Ive also heard songs from St. Anger, Load, and Reload and i didnt like those as much.
