Probably the next dumbest thing I saw on that particular game was a few days ago. Some guy was bidding on a minivan, and he actually wrote down 73,000 something as a price :banghead: Bob is getting crotchy though. The guy wrote down the same price twice and he just let it go so he lost a turn.

BUT as you point out, I bet game shows take that into account and offer a similar amount (car sale value - tax amount) in cash, which would be less of a loss for the sponsor who donated the car (assuming it's the same sponsor, which it isn't necessarily, but I bet it is because the car company got the exposure whether anyone takes the car or not)
