Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band

Are there any fans? He's a fantastic musician, leader, and Blues singer. And The Magic Band is just fabulous.

If you like Frank Zappa, you may know that Beefheart has played in many of his songs, and is very similar, but has a more jagged, heavy, and bluesy style.

My grandma just got in from Hawaii to stay with my mom and I for a little while, and she brought a couple CDs over for me to burn. One of the CDs she brought is Safe As Milk by Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band. I'm listening to it right now. It's a lot more bluesy than I expected. It's pretty cool and weird. But, so far I still like Frank and the Mothers more.
