I don't really care much, but with the blatant ps3 hating I figured people would like to see this.
I haven't heard much about anyone around here, thought not many people around here have 360s, talk about problems with their 360, so of course I'm going to expect a bunch of "My 360 is fine" repsonses. I don't really care, I just figured it'd be intersting.

took you a year to post this fanboy?
hate to break it to you, but the percentage of fails is around 2-3%
which EVERY hardware goes through, including playstation and the famous disc read error, psp with the ejecting UMD's and the dead pixels and whatnot.

...My Xbox 360 is fine and so is the 20+ peoples on my Friends list.
The Percentage is actually 3% are broken and scaling the 7 million Consoles SOLD (not replaced) that's 300,000 replaced, within 1 week of sending it off. Is this the only argument people can think of against the Xbox 360? Anyone remember the PS2
And why is EA complaining about it when Capcom made the game? Oh wait it's a EA Employee...What I'd love to know is
1. Why is it his buisness?
2. Where'd he get his figures from?

Bahaha. I'm expecting nothing better from the PS3. You know... with all the actual new technology it utilizes. That is pretty pathetic on the X360's part, it just being a more powerful counterpart to the original unit.
xeoset

So...Xenon Processors, HD-DVD and it's very own operating system are just old news? The only extra different thing the PS3 has is XDR RAM, which is exactly the same as the Xbox 360's RAM. And the Xbox 360 has already beat the CELL Processor with it's Xenon (The Decoding Error that hit Sony's CELL thanks to IBM) and HD-DVD beats the PS3's BluRay (Because all Movies on the PS3 BluRay means it takes 30x more space to hold the Movie itself, and Single and Double layer HD-DVD Discs are 5 + 15 Gb bigger than the BluRay Single and Double Discs).
If you really want to discuss how much Sony's Tech is newer than Xbox 360's, I'll be glad to prove you wrong.
EDIT: Oh, and Xbox 360's own operating system is a brand new future Tech...Which is ALOT better than the PS3 Linux port from the PSP. Remember ho much stick the PSP Dashboard thing got.
Lawl. this is taken from a poll on the IGN.com front page as of now.
When will you be buying a PS3:
I'm not buying one: 31.2%
I'm buying one at launch: 13.1%
The rest just spans over from, sometime in the future to in 2+ years. Now think how many people actually visit that site. Oh and the 31.2% not buying one is twice as high than any other option (Well over twice as high).

This of course does not imply the xbox360 is not a good console. However it shows that Microsoft hasnt exactly experimented with new technologies, prefering to just upgrade everything.

Well I've just named what, 3-4x as many as the PS3 has up till Q2 '07. And if Microsoft hasn't done new Techs...Explain this.
CELL = Xenon (Xenon is better because it can actually Decode MPEG4/H.264...So Xenon is winning)
BluRay = HD-DVD (HD-DVD is winning on both the 360 and instore while the PS3's BluRay is failing because of it's inabilitie to decode most video formats)
The Blade OS > The PSP Dashboard Port (I've seen both. The Blade OS completely beats the Linux PSP Port hands down, there is no denying this.)
Stop trying to post on things you obviously know nothing about. This is what pisses me off and starts Console war bullshit. Learn before you comment.

Did you not read the article?
An insider at Electronic Arts told GameDaily that the Xbox 360 failure rates were around 30-50 percent and not the 3-5 percent Microsoft suggested.
I'm not going to believe it's that high, but I'm not gonna think it's that low. And why would EA say this? And what do you mean "It took you a year to post this?" I just saw it and posted it, the articles new you faggot. I'm not going to get more into the console war bullshit because it's retarded, but what I was wondering was this.

I didn't see that point. But why is the PS3 internal hard drive (Xbox's innovation) better than the Xbox's new External/Changeable/Upgradable innovation not even mentioned in the first place. Lawl.

You really are Console Retarded. All of those a brand spanking new things that makes the Xbox 360 innovative. ALL of those matter and all of those are more than what both Nintendo and Sony have done. Given both Sony and Nintendo will be using some of those things...All that innovation is down to Microsoft. Now all I need to see is the Nintendo Wii Dashboard before I make my view on who has the best OS and so far, it's Microsofts Blade OS...Really, please do some research before you post. Here's 3 big Sites to help you if need be.
www.ign.com
www.1up.com
www.gamespot.com
IGN is probably the best because they are by far most on the Fence because both 1up and GS have some biased Editors from what I've seen.

I like my 360... 'Snice!
I agree that XBOX360 has just as many innovations as ps3 and wii are slated to have. Microsoft just has a different focus. Rather then the actual hardware, which still is new and insane, they are looking at the gamer experience and making it funner. Marketplace and live are great. I've probably downloaded 50 different things... 'Svery nice.

cell was a waste of many, xenon's cache is bigger plus it can actually decode most video formats, so compressing data on the discs means they don't have to make the console use an uber expensive video format.
GPU: any developer will tell you the 360 GPU is better than PS3, 360 GPU has more shaders and pipelines, an i think it has more system memory.
and the most important part, the PS3 has a craptastic lineup of games for it, xbox 360 has some really good games already out, great exclusives, and more are coming out and it's cheaper, sony forces their blu ray on you, what if you don't want a blu ray drive, why should you have to pay 200 more for it, a game system is a game system, not a "super computer" like sony says, which is just laughable.
Xbox live is leaps and bounds the best online service ever, sony's sucks ass and nintendo won't even have on until WII comes out, which i'm looking forward to. don't complain about paying for live since it's extremely cheap at $50 A YEAR, which is about $4 a month

The only reason the systems might be giving buyers problems is because of the prolonged usesage the gamers put them through. I have a friend who will play nonstop for about 6 hours on a daily basis, of course his unit is going to start giving him trouble. I only play mine for about an average of 2 hours a day, i get bored quickly, but of course its still fun.

As I read in the press release, PS3's standard online service is free. Thus, it's automatically better, says I. And if PS3 online is anything like PS2 Network, you'll hear no compaining from me. IMO, Xbox Live wasn't better. If I understand correctly, it was only slated to be better due to the amount of online games available for it. Most of which were shitty games - but I'm a PS fanboy.

This is a matter of Opinion. I agree, Both the Wii and Xbox 360 have better Titles in my Opinion, people will obviously enjoy the limited exclusives the PS3 has (Wii has something like +5 more Exclusives than the PS3 while the Xbox 360 has more than 50+ more exclusives than the PS3) Source: Technophilia

No it doesn't make it better. Like I've said time and time again. You really think Sony is going to waste million upon millions of dollars just so you can have some that could at LEAST rival Xbox Live? Your fucking joking right?
Plus, the coming 'Live Anywhere' (Meaning you can play people on Xbox Live from a Windows Vista game and Vice Versa, so Console and Computer game mix a bit online. You can get your Gamertag on your phone and say if you meet someone while your out you can trade GT's right fucking there and then).
Nothing is going to rival Xbox Live, it's just way too ahead of everything else.

Personally id rather a decent controller thats wired in, that way there is no chance i can lose it and wont need to worry about battery life.

I hate wireless... I really don't care for it, nor consider it an advantage. The Xbox 360 comes with wired controllers anyway, and you can damn well buy yourself wireless PS3 controllers too, if they didn't make production - which none of us know yet.
But having wireless controllers doesn't make a console anymore futuristic or amazing. Wireless has been out since the first Nintendo console. So there's another arguement you can bury...
Nothing is going to rival Xbox Live, it's just way too ahead of everything else.
You haven't stated anything considerable in proving Xbox Live's superior being. As far as I'm concerned, online gaming on a PC through a Microsoft OS or through a Microsoft online account of some sort is no different than playing against any other Xbox 360 console. I'm glad Microsoft recognized that and finally made that link.

But that kind of Wireless hasn't been utilized as it is now. When say me and my Brothers played on the PS2/GC/Xbox we always had to spend ages untangling the Wires from moving and jumping around when we got a point or something. Now with wireless on the 360, it's a big help and glad it's being utilized.
Look at the Wii's 3D Motion Sensing, you really think that's be great with a wired controller?

PS3 exclusives are gonna rock even harder. The next Wipeout, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy games (not that MMO garbage), Warhawk, Motorstorm, Gran Turismo Vision, SOCOM, Coded Arms: Assault, Xenogears/saga, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance: Fall of Man, Killzone 2, TEKKEN 6, Heavenly Sword, F1-06, Golden Axe (!), GTA 4, Monster Kingdom, SEGA Rally Revolution, Virtua Fighter 5, Bladestorm, Army of Two, Genji, MS Gundam, Sonic, and more. Not to mention flawless backwards compatibility with graphic acceleration of all PS1 and PS2 games... even if there were no PS3 games coming out at all, it would still be worth it to me just to be able to play all those old games in HD w/ sick ass texture filtering and higher framerates.
(btw I own a 360 and I love it, even though the first 2 I had died on me)
