Yeahh...we were bored yesterday, played Seven Nation Army a couple times and decided to record it. We kinda screwed around trying to make it a little more entertaining to watch cause we still don't have a singer and our bassist was busy.
Anyways...

Hopefully, the drummer was hitting every part of the drums except the drumheads on purpose. :uhoh:

I believe that people who play an instrument should take atleast one year of band. :uhoh:
Why would you post that!? :ahhh: :bigwink:

I tried to do that by looking for young guitarists on youtube.
Except all the videos I found were of shredders :wah:

That really pisses me off. Look at the comment:
"awwwww....keep that up and its a female jimi page when she hits 25".
Big deal. She played on 1 string and 3 frets the entire time. I could have probably done that with my eyelids and scrotum when I was her age.

I quite enjoyed your band, keep up the good work. What do you use recording wise, me and my friends have been thinking about getting some stuff. I would be particularly interested in what mics you used for the drums.

Thanks. We're just getting into a good setup, the only one that was done "professionally" was "The Sound of Revolution."
...and even then, I mixed it horribly. ;)
Our drummer has a cheapo Nady kit, 7 mics for $100 or so dollars. I have 2 Shure PG-57 ($60 dynamic mics) Other than that, it's just an Alesis 16 track mixer, a computer, and a copy of Cubase.
First, we lay the drum track down. We just use the snare mic, the bass drum mic, and the 2 overhead condenser mics.
By plugging the guitar and bass directly into the mixer and giving everyone a pair of headphones, you will only get the drums, but everyone can jam along with him while he plays.
Then, the guitar player (or me) can listen to the drum track while we record. For that song, we did another track for the solo.
You can really go crazy with it. We started out with 1 mic and sound recorder, man, that sounded like hell! Talk about a live recording!
If you do it track by track, you'd only need a 4 channel mixer, but if you're doing a live recording, you'd want more. Atleast 4 for the drums, 2 for the guitar, 1 for the bass, and 1 for the vocals.
For the guitar amp, I mic the front and the back. A lot of the bass comes out of the back of an open-backed guitar cab.
