I like the song "Keep it Dark." I just heard it from my brother's Best of Genesis CD.

You guys need to listen to Genesis' older albums like Selling England by the Pound, Wind & Wuthering, Foxtrot and the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
Most of their newer stuff is atrocious.
I guess I feel the need to carry the Genesis flag now that taste_u has gone. Their older stuff is awesome.

If you like Hendrix check out the Velvert Turner Group, I bet you could dig up there album on Soulseek.
You would like Funkadelic and Parliament I bet. Get the album Maggot Brain, a good start.

Oh yeah, Wind and Wuthering Pre release version is very good. However the version Phil tampers with is god awful. And I haven't heard the new Genesis. I've only heard the albums you mentioned, except Foxtrot.

Yeah, I guess I have a reserve of hatred for Phil Collins.
I hate his voice and I hate how he screwed up Genesis. I also hate his solo career and his voice reverb device. But he is admittedly a good drummer.

Seriously, find the Genesis albums when Peter Gabriel was in the band. It doesnt compare to the Phil Collins Genesis.
One of my favorite songs from them. This is when Phil was just the drummer and Peter was the singer

Whoa, whoa, whoa...
Just to clarify things, wasn't "In the Air Tonight" a Phil Collins solo song?

The Cinema Show/In the Cage live Medley, Domino, Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. Duke's travel and end. Throwing it all away. Fading lights.
Genesis improved as years went by, but their best stuff was the Invisible Touch album. A lot of the older Peter Gabriel stuff was just plain wierd. I mean, think about it. Did you ever see the kind of costumes he wore on stage. He was like Barney or something. Phil Collins had talent coming out of his ears and his voice was great. Genesis probably wouldn't have been as succesful without him.

Definitely don't agree there. IMO, Genesis' best days were when they were on top of the prog world. Selling England by the Pound was amazing.
Then Collins came along and turned them into a cheesy pop band.

Are you kidding me? Their shows were unbelievably good. Gabriel's custumes were weird as hell but so awesome at the same time.
Barney? My ass.
Gabriel made Genesis, Collins gayed it.
