Alright, can anyone point me in the direction of a good site that has tutorials for these programs? When I google it all I get are the 29.99 tutorial video sites.. fuckin lame.
Or if anyone can help me out here, in Acid when I use beatmapper, how do i paint just the measures I want into the timeline?

Use FL studio, its 500x better. Reasons?
It uses more synths, its more organized, contains a piano roll, for every section(volume, pan, delay, reverb, and anything else you can think of). All the pro DJ's use FL studio to mix hard dance/hardcore/Trance.
I recommend it, highly. Because I use it.
Acid however, is alot slower, slower rendering times, doesnt contain all the piano rolls, isnt organized(the plug sentinal). And so yea, it pretty much sucks.

All these responses and not a single one addresses the original question. :motz_6:
For FL Studio there are lots of free video tutes on the site - www.flstudio.com.
Not so sure on Acid these days as I tend to use Live 5 more.
There are plenty of music production forums around and if you do a search on a good one you'll probably find answers to most of your questions.

You're kidding right? Seriously, I know FL Studio boasts full VST compatibility and a plethora of other useful features but d'you honestly believe professional producers would use it when you consider what else is out there? Don't get me wrong you can churn some pretty impressive stuff out of FL when you know what you're doing, but in a professional studio environment it pales in comparison to the likes of Cubase SX and Pro Tools and when the sky's the limit the choice is a no brainer. I've heard quite a lot of good material produced with FL Studio, but the reality is that when music making becomes more than just a hobby it gets replaced.
