It's amazing how the media today describes spy ware to people that have no idea what it is. I probably wouldn't do it, though. Imagine a parent walking on a kid watching adult swim trying to get all the Girls Gone Wild pop ups off his computer. Besides, internal microphones aren't the best way to determine what people are watching on TV, not to mention speech to text programs today suck. Imagine, again, a kid watching a show called kitty farm, or something, trying to get all the kiddie porn off his computer.
I wouldn't do it. Good find, though.

Having google listen in on the ambient sounds coming from your TV is all well and good... but who the fuck cares about advertising catered towards what shows you've been watching? I use adblock+ anyway...
no advertisements > google listening in on your conversations.
