They have the players to win the 2006 World Series.

They might, but I don't think they will. At least, I hope they don't. I've kind of stopped following baseball since the Reds stopped winning, so I really have no idea who looks good right now. I'll just do what I do every year, root for the A's or the Twins.

this year rooting for the twins might not be such a bad thing haha, its either twins or the yankees vs the mets or the dodgers for the 2006 WS

You think they would. But I wouldn't be 100% sure on that.

Man fuck the Yankees!

A team with their payroll should not only win the world series, but should also develop a cure for cancer, build a rocket ship, and fight crime.

These sorry bastards get more excited than a fat kid locked in a candy store when they squeak out a division championship over an injury depleated Red Sox team.

Fuck them.

I don’t know man... they have a big roster and fucking them all could take a lot of time….. aside from that wining a division for the Yankees is not really something celebrated it’s expected. That said Go Yanks!:D

I'm a huge Oakland A's fan from oakland (since '87) but even if the yanks beat my A's in the playoffs I couldn't be more proud of my team. We clinched a division just like the yanks did with something like an 80 million dollar smaller pay roll.

Defeating the yanks in the playoffs or not... getting there with that small of a payroll is a giant accomplishment in itself. You never know, both teams have a great chance of beating each other. It will be fun to watch!

Go A's!

I don't think the Yankees have the pitching to win it all.

QFT. The amount they are all getting, they should be buying Sudan and making it better. Or something else people could admire. Like free car washes or something. Yeah.

i've been a yankee fan all my life. i've even had it in my sig for a while. just like i'll keep the packers in there, despite their...uh...cold streak

edit: quit bitching about the payroll. the red sox make a team $120,100,000, second in the league.

They won the division with young players while loads of starters were injuried alot more the the Red Sox .Matsui,Sheff, and so on....I love when the Red Sox talk about payroll...Go look up whos number 2?Stop being a jealous piece of shit just shut the fuck up and wait for next season. It's not a big deal since we been doing it for 9 years straight. The Red Sox are use to not winning the division. The last time was 1995.

Add Manny, Papelbon, and Schilling to that list. So basically, only (about) half of the Red Sox team has spent time on the DL this season.

And LOL, Manny takes up half of the Sox payroll. We need to get rid of him. :uhoh:

Fuck the Red Sox too!

Man, the small market Twins are the real deal here. Shit payroll and younger players that are making a killing off of bigger market teams.

Thats baseball baby.
