Terrell Owens Taken To Hospital

Terrell Owens was taken to the emergency room for an undisclosed reason last night, and doctors treating the Dallas Cowboys receiver were trying to induce vomiting, according to a television report.

Owens was brought by a fire rescue crew to Baylor Medical Center, Dallas-Fort Worth television station KTVT reported, citing sources the television station did not identify. A reporter for the station said she saw Owens being wheeled down the hall.

ESPNews reported that a friend of Owens said the receiver's condition was caused by a reaction to medication he was taking to reduce swelling near his broken right ring finger.

Calls from the Associated Press to Owens' agent, his publicist and the Cowboys were not immediately returned last night. The hospital told the AP that it did not have a patient registered by Owens' name.

The second I heard "Induced Vomiting", I knew it was painkillers. As much as I loathe T.O., I hope this isn't anything too bad (I'm sure it isn't)

But hey, it could be worse, at least his spleen wasn't pwned.

TO is an attention whore who can't stand the spotlight not being on him. That being said, I actually hope he's not mentally unstable enough to try this again, and if it's depression I hope he gets the help he needs immediately. I wish no ill will on him, I just hope that if this story was somehow fabricated to bring the attention back to TO that the public declares blasphemy and the NFL runs him out of the league, but I have an idea that he's really got some mental disorders.

Now, to go drop him from my Fantasy teams...

No, I think it is the opposite. I think all the attention on him was one of the most prominent reasons of this action. Who the hell wouldn't have some sort of mental insecurity after being constantly scrutinized on TV?

I am not a fan of the man either, he is a very talented player, fun to watch, but he does have some obvious personality problems.

TO has been having alot of issues lately and is under alot of constant stress at work and depressed over his personal life. I think that when he finally realized what he has done to himself he realized that he wanted to live because he loves himself too much.

Anyone else would have been thrown in a psych ward for a few weeks but since he is an important person and the Cowboys need him for sundays game, the cowboys and TO denied everything that happened that night and called it a bad allergic reaction as soon as the press got word of the situation...WHATEVER.

It's sad to me that the Cowboys find football more important than a persons overall health. The cowboys will do anything to win. I doubt TO will do anything like this again simply because he would never allow himself to look like a fool since he denied it the first time. I'm sure he learned his lesson from all of this.

This whole thing was really no ones business except TO's... and maybe the Cowboys. I'm sure he is getting private help. Leave the poor man alone and let him live his life in private.

I expected this guy on tv whose name I can't remember, but who talks a lot of shit about people, to rip into TO. Instead what I heard was "I feel sorry for him". That makes me think he really does have a problem, and it wasn't just a "look at me, I'm an attention whore" kind of thing.
