I'd buy a DS just for that.

Edit: Well, just for Earthbound and Mother 3. I've heard that Mother was pretty much an Earthbound beta.

Now that you mention it, I'd love to see a sequel to Final Fantasy II - I loved that storyline. That was the first RPG to get me hooked on the genre.

heh, never played the football one. i just remember how awesome it was...playing my sega genesis, having the other team's monsters fall through the ice, enjoying youth....

3. A new Earthbound.
2. A new Chrono game...
1. A new Final Fantasy Tactics game... not some bullshit on the GBA. A real sequel or another installment with good interesting characters, a backstabbing political plot, with hard ass battles, and that Lord of the Rings type of music. That's what made the original so damn good. That's a story I never predicted.

If anyone is confused by what he said, the game he is refering to is Final Fantasy IV. It was II in the US but in Japan it was IV

Yeah, I know about Mother 3, but knowing Nintendo, the chances of it coming here are very low. Also, just like I said for FFT, I don't want no "handheld" sequel like FFTA, I want it on a next-gen console.

The transfer of Earthbound to next gen would butcher it. It has to keep the same graphics the previous one had or it would just be horrible. GBA seems like the perfect machine to pick it up.

To think the last time I put a thought into that game was more than A DECADE ago.

I admit that the Mother 3 that was supposed to come out for the N64 looked horrible, but this is Nintendo we're talking about. If anyone could do it, it's them. Just look at some of their triple A titles: Mario, Zelda, Metroid. All three of these series made a change from 16-bit 2D to 128-bit full 3D. Now they're considered some of the best games to ever exsist. Mario 64, Zelda: OoT, Metroid Prime. There's also more where that came from. Also, if you ever played any of the Dragon Quest games, you can see the similarities between Earthbound. Look where that series has gone for the first time. The Japanese are nuts about DQ games, and for the first time it went from 2D to full 3D, it turned out better than good.

Wheather they use cel-shading or not, Earthbound can be made in 3D along with everything that made the original so great, especially if it's published by Nintendo.

I think I remember selling that game when I worked at Gamestop. Reminds me of Pocket Tanks (http://www.blitwise.com/ptanks.html) - which is friggin' fun. :cool:
