Mothers Against Videogame Addiction and Violence site (http://www.mavav.org/).

Today video game addiction is becoming an ever increasing problem, comparable now, even to alcohol and drug abuse.

And the newest absurdity, underground video game cultures What the fuck's an underground videogame culture?

Splinter Cell: How-To Kill
So what if your kid knows how to kill, If your kid acually kills someone because of a game, he was probly fucked up before he played it.

Video Game Networks or Online Training Camps?

SHIT, you've discovered our secret, we are secretly training your kids online to be secret deadly ninja assasins that kill people... secretly

Symptom: Unusual "Role-Playing"
Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG) is a digital escape from the real world for emotionally unhealthy and mentally unstable people. It is a place for computer enthusiasts and social outcasts to gather un-bothered and un-harassed by the realities of real life.

Now that's just fucking offensive

Danger: Do video games teach people how to kill?
Yes. When video games were linked to the Columbine high school shooters, a frenzy of new research was launched, in which, one team of researchers discovered that first person shooter games do indeed teach gamers with the basic knowledge of how to kill. This research arrived be so conclusive that the U.S. government Army developed a free video game to be used as a virtual boot camp and killing simulator.

So it takes a video game to teach someone that guns can kill?
It dosn't take a master's degree to figure out how to point a gun.

Fact: Video games aren't just for "fun" anymore, the video game industry made a net income of $6.3 billion in 2002, surpassing even the movie industry. Developers profit and continue to take advantage of today's youth with cute, loveable, addictive, and recognizable franchise characters. A practice and strategy similar to those used by the tobacco industry.

HOLY SHIT!! Gamemakers actually try to make money?

Anymore? You mean, there was a time when people spent millions of dollers and hundreds of hours, JUST so someone could have fun playing a game?

Symptom: Poor school grades
A typical report card by a troubled video game player:

Computer Education: Excellent
English: Poor
Mathemathics: Poor
Science: Poor
Social Studies: Poor
Physical Education: Poor

Never assume drugs or otherwise is the problem for your child's poor academic performance. Video game addiction is not to be under-estimated. It is a serious epidemic plaguing our children nationwide. We recommend getting professional psychiatric help

Jesus Christ, quit assumeing that gamers need psychiatric help!

And that's it, I hope you found this site as stupid as I do.

I always hate this sort of crap.

It's always just parents looking for a scapegoat to cover up their bad parenting.

Site's pretty old. I remember hearing something about it four or five years ago. The guy that made the site apparently did it as a college? project. Something along the lines of creating a successful hoax. Considering it still gets people going, and some people even are still actually joining MAVAV, I think he deserves an A.
