Anybody psyched for this game? It looks good, I was never turned on by the battlefield games but this one is different. I just need to buy a good video card and i'll be good for some average performance i hope. :)

No, it's going to be full of little kids who TK to get the Mechs first. Not to mention it'll be buggy as fuck for at least 5 patches.

Suffice to say, I'm not getting it!

Seriously Battlefield franchiese fucking suck. The games can be fun, but its not worth it.

No its still running the Battlefield 1942 engine ... just like battlefield vietnam ... just like battlefield 2.

BF2 engine is different than vietname and 1942. 99% sure.

It will be fun, but buggy, and feeling incomplete. EA will fix that by patches that will fix the bugs and make the game less fun. They'll fix the incomplete feeling by releasing a dozen 'booster packs', or whatever they'll call them for this game.

Just like with Battlefield 2, you'll spend $50 or more on 7 maps with a couple vehicles. Then, they'll charge you $20 for every 2 more maps after that. Not really worth it, IMO.

BF2 uses a totally different engine to vietnam and '42....

I think it looks pretty badass. I loved the first one. I'm probably gonna have to upgrade my video card tho... I've got a Radeon 9600, but its starting to show its age.

Well, I'm actually hyped. I signed up for the veteran program (http://www.battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf2142/veteran.aspx) and will probably get the game for Christmas. The hell if I'm spending money on an EA game.
