I am a die hard twins fan, so will not post predictions. Game one right now, Santana is looking good, but gave up 2 early runs. The Yankees will be tough, but goddam I want us to beat them.

My thoughts changed quickly about the Twins. I mean it seems every year in the playoffs when Santana pitches they can't get a win for him. Especially the past 2 seasons against the Yankees. He always allows the runs early then gets in his groove, and the offense can't quite get the lead. But as us Red Sox fans know Oakland has trouble holding a series lead in the playoffs, atleast that one year.

2006 is the Year of the Yankees.
One down, ten to go.

Huge Oakland A's fan here... born and raised in Oakland... If the Tigers can somehow beat the Yankees while the A's beat the Twins... I'll call the A's going all the way.

i will never ever believe in the a's in the playoffs. after they have failed to win a series for so long. i'm still picking the twins.

Wow so far I'm wrong with the Twins and Yankees winning. And both the Dodgers and Padres are trailing.

I know I didn't make any picks (the playoff had already started when I saw this thread), so I have little room to talk, but some of these were a little off.

So far I might be wrong about the Padres... but I'm confident that my A's can keep the good times rolling... Go A's!

My picks are the worst!
I know I didn't make predictions in this thread, but those were some pretty bad picks. I would have picked the Yankees and Twins also though. The Padres pick was very bad. They went 2 for 32 in the whole series. That is awful.
I'll make picks for the championship series now...
Mets over the Cardinals in 6.
Tigers over the A's in 7.
Mets over the Tigers in 5.
