View Full Version : my Xbox 360 keeps freezing

I bought xbox 360 with saint's row like 4 days ago and I cant play the game for more than 1-2 hours because it always freezes - what is wrong with the stupid 500 dollar machine? is it possible to take it back to bestbuy and get your whole money back if your not satisfied?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I don't mean to laugh at you but this is just so fitting for these forums. All of the XBox fanboyism here, it's just so fitting to have a thread like this.

On a serious note, yeah dude that sucks. Is Saints Row the only game you have? I would definitely take it back asap and get a new xbox and/or a new version of saints row. I'm sure if there was something wrong with the game it could lead to freezing just as easily as a problem with the hardware. But yeah, don't sit on it, do something asap.

I just realized I had my xbox 360 upside down lol - my mistake I guess - their's holes that shoot out air that obviously must have been being blocked - I figured that thing was supposed to be the bottom cause it stands well on it

Yeah I've had it freeze up once while playing "Saints Row", could be the game too though, haven't had any other games freeze. I love the game, but it has been glitchy at times.

Why did you pay 500 dollars for it? Yea dont put it upsideown it needs to ventilate through those holes.

It still worked but one side of it got bended and it kept crashing but thats cuz it was manufactured in october and it was rushed but we used our aranty and got a new one.

I do own a xbox, gc, ps2, ps1. I'm no fan boy for consoles.

Yeah I'm upset that they pushed it back. But I've heard they pushed it back to have a online feature, like a multiplayer mode.

don't put it vertically either; even tough they day that it's possible you'll get one disc reading error after the other...

I have mine vertical and never have any problems except the odd freeze but thats microsucks firmware not my games

(bring up friends list during game and the window wont close) but while playing games it will never freeze

The fact is, you cant use the xbox 360 crashing, breaking or overheating against it. Since its going to happen to the PS3's and Wii's.

it's cheap ass soldering on the memory chips that usually heat up and fuck the xbox it's not cpu or graphics overheating I looked inside an xbox360 and the soldering is horrible

yea my 360 fucked up, i need to return to microsoft, but i need the receipt, which i cant find so i need to see if ebgames will print me off another one... if not, ill just sell the games i have for it, and move on:idea:

My first 360 froze up a lot, I returned it to be on the safe side, and my new one is placed vertically. Zero problems.

Overheating is bound to happen when you cram a powerful PC into a tiny plastic shell. It's because of all those idiots who care what their system looks like.

I agree, I wouldn't mind having a gaming console that was the size of a small car, as long as it's affordable, up-to-date and reliable.
