A warm and uplifting film. I like it because it's a movie starring kids but possess some fairly adult themes.

Favourite scene: Squints jumps into the deep end of the swimming pool so that Wendy Peppercorn will rescue him. Dirty trick :D

loved it as a kid, still love it. The characters were kids that you knew, the fear of the the dog behind the fence were realistic fears that you also shared as a kid. I have seen it at least 5 times.
