When I listen to a song, I really like to listen to the bass line too. What's your favorite (or some of your favorites) bass line in a song.

In the Beatles I want you (She's so Heavy) there's such an awsome part... Right after he sings "It's driving me mad it's driving me mad" and there's a little organ part, there's a brilliant little bass riff...it's so cool. And after they say "Heavvvayyyyy" there's another great part. Although the song only has about 13 different words, the bass rules!

In Red Hot Chili Pepper's Fortune Faded, Flea plays a great part, as he does in a ton of songs.

Share some of your favorites.

It depends.. Most things by John Myung are cool in my books, but Tony Levin is good, too. Of course, there's always that guy from Primus. I'm about to smack myself in the face for not remembering his name..

Primus' bassist and vocalist is named Les Claypool.

Now, for some good bass lines. Dead Kennedys have a lot. A bunch of there songs have bass intros. Listen to Holiday in Cambodia and Viva Las Vegas. Also, check out DMV, My Name is Mud, The Air is Getting Slippery, and Welcome to This World. Pork Soda (album) is full of great bass lines. Most Primus songs have great bass.
