I had my brother rent it from the gamestop he works at today. It's an okay game. the new create a fatality, and create a character are fun, The cart racer is flat out stupid though, And the way the endings are presented is pretty weak (they are all text). However the fighting is solid, there are a ton of characters and arenas to choose from.

The Mortal kombat team has bought some credit with the past several games, and I'm glad to see them close the chapter on this generation. I look forward to their next game.

All and all I would give it a 7/10. Rent it, or buy it when the price drops.

Yeah, I thought the cart racing was kind of a lame idea. And I heard the endings were kind of lame also. I'm looking foward to getting it though. It should arrive tomorrow.

How good is the character creation? I haven't been able to rent the game yet, so I may just buy it, but for me character creation is a major factor in games.

Endings are really really lame, there just text, no pictures or anything

It's okay, I was excited about create a fighter but you have to EARN every fucking thing in the lame ass storymode so...it's only fun with 2 players, because every dude from MK is in it.

And I never buy games, unless it's football, baseball, or Guitar Hero.

It's a lot better than I expected, a lot of options, but you can only create one character per profile

The endings sucked. Like everyone else said all they are is someone reading text and the character doing his moves. I think the endings from MK4 were the best because they were actually like movies, and is it just me or does everyone kinda get screwed in their endings?
