1. Chicago Bears - last week #1
Forget about the 05 Colts, if there were a team that had the best shot at going 16-0, it would be this team. Though a loss is inevitable, this team has no flaws...period.

2. Indianapolis Colts - last week #2
Sure, they didnt look impressive but they are one of the only 2 teams left undefeated, until someone beats them, they wont drop.

3. Denver Broncos - last week Not Ranked
The defense has only given up one touchdown..one touchdown..even Plummer can work with that, they have wins over the Patriots and Ravens, good enough to be ranked in the top 5.

4. New England Patriots - last week #4
Brady and the boys remain in the #4 spot, Brady still looks good and though kept it close with Miami, a win is a win.

5. Philadelphia Eagles - last week #8
They have the first quarter MVP, solid defense, and they beat Dallas without Westbrook, this team is impressive. Are people ready to admit TO was the fall of that team?

6. San Diego Chargers - last week #7
A win over the Superbowl champs, Rivers is real, the defense is real, and as long as there's no Marty Bowl they're going to do some damage.

7. Atlanta Falcons - last week #5
They dropped because of the BYE week but the defense is not to be taken lightly and the run game is fantastic.

8. Carolina Panthers - last week #10
The boys in blue are back, the defense is back to being dominating and Foster looks decent on the ground. Then there's the Steve Smith factor.

9. Baltimore Ravens - last week #3
Steve McNair was finally exposed to not knowing the offense well enough against a hungry defense, their D itself is still dominating but the poor offensive showing week after week drops them down a bit. Jailmal is back.

10. Cincinnati Bengals - last week #6
They dropped due to the bye week but still remain in the top 10. Carsons been struggling as of late and he should get back on track against Tampa Bay's D, but it wont be easy.

Bottom 5
1. Oakland Raiders
2. Detroit Lions
3. Tennessee Titans
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
5. Cleveland Browns

Decent list, just to mooch off and not make another thread here are my power rankings.

1. Chicago Bears (2)
Sure, they haven't faced any great teams yet, but they have only allowed 36 total points and have scored 150+. Even if you played the raiders every week that would be impressive.

2. Indy (1)
Once again they find a way to pull out a win, although it was against the Titans.

3. New England (4)
I was thinking about putting the chargers in here, but I need to see more experience from rivers. Tom Brady is the difference right now.

4. Chargers (5)
Rivers showed he can win once again and is looking at Gates more and is improving every week. Looked great against a staunch Pitt defense. And lets not forget LT is still LT and the defense is one of the best in the league.

5. Carolina (8)
They are back now at 3-2. Delhomme has found that Keyshawn and Smith can lead the team at the WR position. The defense is picking it up and the running game is finally getting rolling. Deshaun had his 1st back to back 100 yard rushing games in a while or ever.

6. Bengals (6)
A little risky having them right here, but they will impress after the bye. Chad will get on track.

7. Falcons (9)
Their running attack has sputtered a bit in recent weeks, but they are still feared around the league. They have been on a bye so not much has changed, and like the bengals they should come out strong against NYG in what will be a close game.

8. Denver
Back to what they should be. Tatum is looking like an everydown back and the team is doing well even with Plummer stinking up the joint. Showed they can win a tough, close game.

9. Ravens (3)
They lost to a great Broncos team, and mostly because of McNair. He knows what he did and will come back strong. Their defense is still sick and the offense is still trying to gel. If they still have a hard time running the ball, they could take a big hit.

10. Seattle
Shaun should come back soon and the passing offense is still extremely potent. They blew out NYG then got blown at Chicago, so i dont really take that much into account. Their defense is still good.

11. Jacksonville
Ok, 2 weeks ago they lost to the skins, but that seems to have been a down week for them as they absolutely killed the Jets who nearly beat the Colts. The passing offense is really clicking with byron and reggie williams, and Drew and Taylor are running very well. Mike peterson will be out for the year, but that D is still great.

12. NYG (if they win this week they will shoot up, seem to be clicking now)
13. Philly(very close to top 10, but i want to see them beat a top 10)
14. New Orleans (Duece getting better and Reggie is shining)
15. Redskins (looked flat and embarrassing, although the D only allowed 19)
16. St. Louis (Bulger Holt looking great and S Jax is carrying the load)
17. Dallas (lost a close one but it wasnt that close)
18. Pitt (only because of record, they really should be higher)
19. KC (Huard looks pretty good, although LJ has been off this year)
20. Minn (maybe they should be higher, but must prove in a big win)
21. SF (Gore is the man down there and Smith looking better)
22. NYJ (lost big this week, but play well at home)
23. Cleveland (Winslow, Frye, Braylon looking good, within 1 score of Car)
24. Buff (They played Chicago, they had no way of winnig)
25. Miami (Joey looking much better than daunte.. sadly)
26. Houston (offense still good, carr has best rating, defense, not so much)
27. Green Bay (will put up a fight, and Brett has good TD:INT)
28. Detriot (continuing trend, good offense bad D)
29. Tampa (D still there and Gradawakowkkski looked good in 1st start)
30. Tenn (not as good as they looked against the Colts, vince is nice though)
31. Arz (Matt impressed many against a good KC team, will get better)
32. Oakland (still considered an NFL team)

The defense is looking good and it was an impressive win without LJ most of the game against Arizona. Huard is doing what he has to and they seem to be getting it more together each week. Ranked 4th overall in defense.

Pretty good, but the chargers and pats should switch places

And the eagles did have westbrook when they beat dallas

and poopchow, i think the rams and cowboys should be higher then the redskins. After the jags game, i could understand ranking redskins higher then cowboys, but after the giants game it kinda comes down to when they played, and we all know what happened then

And the rams are 4-1, and have already beat the broncos

He did? Damn...thought he wasnt, hah, still impressive though.

Rams beat the Broncos in Week 1...a lot of things change after that week. Buffalo shut out New England in Week 1 in one of their Superbowl years. First week where the starters are out on the field the whole game, first week they actually do gameplanning, I mean Week 1 is completely unpredictable.

763 yards and six TDs in only seven games. With numbers like that, TO is not the reason the Eagles sucked last year. I would point to no running game and bad play by the defense.

But my top five are:

1. Chicago
2. Chargers
3. Colts
4. Eagles
5. Broncos

Im going to have to side with Atreyu. A lot of wierd things happen in week one, and if they played now, it woudl be a different story.

As for the cowboys, then and the skins are just too unpredictable right now, and the win over the jags give them an edge.

And packers will win out

After the last... 7 years+ watching the Bears not do too much other than the 2001 season... this year is extremely gratifying. Now I can laugh at all my Packer and Viking fan friends, like they did to me.

Look at the Bears schedule. They have a legitimate shot at going 16-0.

No, someone will beat them, it's completely inevitable they will lose atleast 1 game. If they do go 12-0 or 13-0, they will eventually rest their starters after getting homefield advantage, and that could result to their loss. But they have about a 15% shot at going undefeated if you ask me.

Who wants to hear me sound like a dumb ass (aside from any of my other posts you may have read).

Upset pick: Cardinals over the Bears

Cardinals are the home team, the Bears may be too confident about themselves, and Leinart has a little experience against them from the preseason match up. Fitzgerald not playing will be hard for the Cardinals to overcome though.

If I'm right, you have to pay me a hundred dollars, if I'm wrong, I'll take a hundred dollars from you.

Deal? Was that a yes? All right, good.

That's a very bold prediction. To be honest I could see an upset if Fitz was playing, but without Fitz, this is going to be nothing more than a massacre.
